And this is why he will never be a good boxer and his success is more indicative of the weak era and his level of competition than anything else. It doesn't even make sense.

"Success being the result of a weak" era will never be a valid argument when the person in question hasn't faced the top competition.

Yeah that's why I also added the level of his competition. I think era is still valid even in his case though since I feel like fringe top 10 guys in the past are better than top 10 fighters currently for the HW division but I could be VERY wrong about that. It's a pure assumption.

Why do you have to be a good boxer when you can be a good fighter instead, 6'7 pure athleticism with speed and
power is enough to knock everybody out, it works for him, exceptional boxing skills are not required in his case,
some style matchups could be very bad for him because of his average skillset but he still has the chance to
change everything with his punching power, it doesn't only work one way.

I actually like Wilder and think he's the best heavyweight at the moment. But, even he doesn't believe the hogwash he's talking. His effective use of timing and punching mechanics are what made him a champion.

...Because we're boxing and if that is the case there is no need to even train skills. There is no need to learn how to box. At all.

Yes, i know that he exaggerated like he always does but it's still funny and will probably trigger the usual suspects.

When he loses to Fury over 12 rounds in a unanimous decision he'll realize that he dun goofed and that he's delusional. Wilder is proof that people with no boxing skill whatsoever can win a belt in today's boxing landscape, when you have people like Wilder making money and on camera it shows how dead boxing is in 2018. He's an embarrassment to boxing because he continues to actually think he's a half decent fighter and is very unprofessional in the way he acts. Too many people like Wilder the past 10 years overachieving. Wilder, Joshua and most of the active heavyweights today wouldn't even have been pro fighters in the 70's, they would have been just used as sparring partners and gym janitors. And he's insulted and talked down on retired fighters in the past, shows that he has no respect for the art of boxing. Even if Fury beats him by a decision, he won't learn about how messed up in the head he is until somebody knocks him out cold, then he'll come to the realization that everything he's done up to that point is the result of good managerial moves and a horrible opposition. Sorry guys, that's the truth, and every single person who is in the pro boxing profession who reads this knows it's the truth too. Boxing in 2018 is dead.

LOL, what are you talking about ? I said in his case it's not required but only a few have the physical advantages
he has, most have to work on their skills, also Wilder is an above average boxer, he is not without any skills at all.
You can't be succesful without any boxing skills but you can be succesful with average boxing skills when you have
tremendous athleticism and power like he has but nobody else has it in the heavyweight division.

He hits hard and has a great chin, that's fighting in its rawest form. Deontay has got the earning without the learning.

Wilder knows what he's doing. He can't fight on the inside or do anything cute. He's disciplined enough to stay at distance and launch the right rand once he has the opponent timed.
