55 was a pretty good year for Moore, he beat some good opposition that year. Just couldn't get past Marciano. But.... could Moore have made it past prime Carl Williams?

I think Archie sets traps on the guy and late in the fight when Williams' hands are below his waist, he gets stopped.

Williams had solid skills but I think his chin held him back

Solid win for Carl. Can't see Archie flooring Carl, but can see Carl spearing him all night with the jab. Williams UD Moore.

These time travel bouts just don't take enough into account of the weight/ size difference.
Williams out jabs a guy 2 weights below him.

    “Can’t see Archie flooring Williams”

Why not? Archie could hit. Williams couldn’t take a punch

This here. And he knew how to set up his punches and time them

Carl would find a way to survive. Nothing against Archie, but Carl's pride would be on the line as well, so he would find a way to nullify Archie.

Ok that’s fair, just making sure you’re not questioning Archie’s power. Archie was a big hitter

One of the big factors, to me anyway, was that Williams was just not a raise to the occasion kind of guy. Give him a silver platter and he does not take advantage. I think that part of his tool chest is lacking & absolutely needed to beat a guy like the old mongoose.

Can see Carl getting a point s win ,but along the way maybe having to pick him self up .If Archie could drop Marciano then he has a chance of the same with Williams .

The way a prime Williams gave Larry Holmes such a close fight, and the way Carl badly beat up the smaller Bert Cooper, I would have to make Williams the favorite here to win a decision.
