Honestly, I do not think that Prime Mike Tyson would beat Wilder, Joshua, and Fury

I agree that a peak Tyson didn't fight great fighters at there best but an 1987 Tyson would knock Joshua and wilder out and I think he probably beats fury although fury would have a great chance using his size and keeping it at distance. Tyson only lost to Douglas cause Douglas was so up for it that night he had the demons running through his blood after his mum died and also Tyson had loads of problems on his life. It was 10000 percent Douglas fighting an 85 percent Tyson. But to go back to the original question I think he knocks out Joshua and wilder and fury v him is quite close although I do see Tyson catching him

    You don't see how?

Wilder has struggled with B and C class fighters.

Fury has been dropped by Cunningham.

Joshua has question marks surrounding his chin.

Mike had the power to take any of them out. The question is, would he have had the opportunity?

I'd say he'd have had a fair chance, especially against Wilder who has huge technical flaws. Although he has huge power, he is not a quality fighter, with quality skills. Mike would have been a stylistic nightmare for him. Please explain to me how he'd have timed Mike who'd have bobbed and weaved to have gotten inside.

To be clear, I don't know that *today's* Fury has much chance against Tyson. He looked horrible today.

AJ is tailor made for Tyson, stiff upper body/stiff legs wide open for the right hand and shaky chin.....replay of the Bruno fights.

Tyson switched out Holmes like he had never been switched off before or after..........he had a distinct second career after Tyson...........while the shot to shid glass chinned safety first 41 year old (!!!) WK put AJ down and almost out...

Wilder would've just kept him at bay and launched that right hand when Tyson would've attempted to get in on the inside.

This is not about Tyson vs AJ, TF, DW, or BD. Its about "None of Tysons wins was better than Ortiz."

Holmes was in too many wars? He continued to fight for another 14 years after Tyson, gave Holyfield a very good fight and beat Mercer at the age of 42, gave McCall a good fight at the age of 45!
What silly argument is this? Ring inactivity for professionals, who know how to get in shape by sparring, vs. Holmes getting older and older and older BUT STILL LOOK EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE?

Nobody here knows what kind of preparation Holmes run through. But everyone knows you do not get better at the end of your 30s/40s.

Comparing old man Ortiz, who never comes lean into the ring, vs. ATG legend Larry Holmes at the same age, telling that Cuban @38 was better than any man Tyson fought. And do you know the best?
That 38y old nearly knocked Wilder the **** out! Last time I heard that nonsense was Wilder having the better performance that night in comp. to Tyson destroying Holmes, who had and never will be KOd by anyone else.

You guys have no problem making idiots out of yourself. Well done!

Yeah agree with the bottom bit...it definitely effected him at times like the buster fight. He was like a zombie from the get go that night. Looked depressed to me.

Still think the guys we,re beat before it started because of how good Tyson was. These guys don't wilt on an aura of invincibility. There we,re outmatched badly against pretty much a prodigy. It wasn't mind games that scared them some of these guys we,re rough guys from the streets themselves.

Even just looking at Tyson's prime run...he was fighting good names about two months apart. That's unheard of in recent times...that alone pays testament to a strong mentality. He just gave up and stopped living like a professional fighter but still came to give it his all pretty much every single time. Its just that his all was no comparison to his all when he was at his best.

Tyson destroyed those big, tall heavies when in his prime.

On the way up guys like Nino Ribalta & Jesse Ferguson were battered senseless.

As champ, he had too much for the likes of Tony Tucker & Tyrell Biggs.

Biggs was the undefeated Olympic gold medalist in the Super Heavyweight division from the 1984 Olympics. He fought all the big Cubans (including Teofilo Stevenson) & had an excellent jab.

Tucker & Biggs are around the same standard as Joshua & Wilder (although the latter pair hit much harder).

Joshua & Wilder have gone on to achieve much more than the other two b/c their careers weren't short-circuited by being pancaked by Iron Mike.

Tyson's speed and power wasn't just a mirage to a scared fighter, it was real. watch him trying to punch holes through Holmes. not only that but he had the foot speed to get inside guys like Joshua and AJ, they themselves are not invulnerable and have shown plenty of weaknesses that can be exploited by a short powerful brawler type with skills, speed, power and chin to take their shots. to say he wouldn't stand a chance is to expose yourself as an unreasonable detractor, which is every bit as bad as the Tyson nut hugger.

This. I think Tyson also ruined Ruddock as well. Ruddock was never the same fighter after those two back to back fights with Tyson.

Pre jail Tyson struggled against tall heavies that could move like Mitch Green, Smith, Tucker, Ruddock, and of course Douglas. The only tall ranked heavy Tyson made easy work off was Bruno, slow and flat footed. Spinks was not even a heavyweight.
