shocked the world beating an old man. then ran terrified, twice, from a career high payday rematch. he was a fluke and he is only back for drug money.

You might be right, Wlad was ready to be taken by someone, not shot but definitely vulnerable. Maybe he's only back for the money, he did seem to lose a lot of interest in boxing once he became champion and fighting the doping ban would of drained his bank account no doubt. But it's not like he's facing an ATG he's facing Wilder who for all his size and power is a flawed fighter. Fury might not need to be close to 100% to beat him.

Ortiz almost had him out of there, he's been out boxed by worse fighters than Fury even this faded Fury. I've counted Fury out too many times before to do so again. He has a nasty habit of proving me wrong.

who has Fury ever beaten? an old man, and cherry picked opponents based on no power, skill or size.

Offbeat choice for Wilder: Bryant Jennings.

Way different stature but reach is nearly identical.

never mind his duck list. price, thompson, ustinov, off the top of my head, he is terrified of decent big guys who can punch a bit.

talent wise this is a gimme for wilder. he needs to get a huge pro wrestler like Kane or Undertaker to lay on him at least a minute a round. that is how fury wears guys down.

Personally, I don't think there's a better player of pre-fight mind-games than TF. Whyte and Bellew are good, but in a different, less sophisticated, way.

So, how does Fury get under Wilder's skin in advance of the fight? He broke Vlad by pitting a robotic control freak against unpredictability. Vlad looked genuinely shaken and frustrated throughout the whole build-up, cos Fury refused to allow him to feel in control of anything.

But DW doesn't have that robotic vibe; his usual mind-game is to rely on his swagger and dangerousness ("I shatter bones; I want a death on my record, etc").

So what's the best way to deal with that? I personally think they'll try and out-kamikaze him, so it'll be something like:

"I want a death on my record"
    Vs
    "I don't care if I die"

This has the advantage of being partially true. They are fighting men, it is a matter of pride, they fight to fight, not necessarily for the money.

    Thoughts?...

This will remain PPV in the States and both Fury and Wilder will be paid much more than the fight generates. They are trying to make a point to Hearn and Joshua. They have said so much already about how Wilder Fury is a big PPV event in the States they cant come back now and claim its only going to be on their normal network because its all about building and getting bigger and showing Hearn that it would be better to not have the AJ fight on DAZN.

Eddies argument is Wilder isnt PPV in the States, doesnt do great numbers and to pay him alot based on him bringing big numbers with him from America to an AJ PPV when its a serious gamble cuz theres no proof it wouldnt be a PPV flop. Where as if Eddie got it on DAZN they are offered a set amount of money up front so there is no need for percentage splits. Joshua and Wilder will get a set amount. Im not saying 15 Million was fair, im sure they could give Wilder more than that but if it ends up on DAZN there is not going to be a percentage split.

Still would be PPV UK side though so those numbers could go up or down but Wilder wont be adding much extra interest UK side as Joshua is pretty much maxing out the UK market anyway.
