Yes, battered. Battered to the point of hospitalization, and a black and blue face afterwards.

Barnes had the better skillset, technically, but that didn't stop him taking a beating. Rosales' punches were rocking Barnes more or less every time. Rosales wasn't even flinching when Barnes landed.

    Battered.

Edit: I know you weren't replying to a post of mine. I'm just agreeing with whoever said he got battered. Which he clearly did.

Well it's funny cos I could swear I saw a close up of barnes on TV at ringside for the main event .. And he looked sour and unhappy sure, but unmarked and definitely not battered. ..just saying ..

The dart certainly hit the bulls eye
They love their local fighters in Belfast and support their people in big numbers.

The NI football team has had great support over the years even in periods when they were very very poor.

He definitely wasn't unmarked when he was on the telly at ringside later. Ok maybe black and blue was an exaggeration but he was definitely marked up a bit and I'm sure it looked a lot worse this morning.

I'm not meaning to sound harsh on him, he showed balls and went for it against a much bigger and much more heavy handed man. No shame in his performance. But he got bashed up and it's reported that he then went to hospital after it cos he felt dizziness.

Hopefully Barnes can learn from it and come back stronger.

Just saw a quote from Barnes from before the fight saying he is the 'strongest flyweight in the world'. Combined with how he approached the fight suggests sh*tty tactics. Dont know what would have made him think he would be stronger on the night. Doesnt look great saying stuff like that before being folded like a Poundstretcher deck chair.
