AJ has never been invited to any Wilder fights. The fact is Wilder was invited to Cardiff to big up the fight but he flatly refused. Eddie also went to U.S. to negotiate but they refused to meet him. AJ refused a 50m contract which wasn't put in writing and like I said in a previous post, there is more to a contract than just money. Wilder wanted full say in who had the tv rights which AJ could not agree too as he has his own contracts to keep to.
Not seen much mention of Frampton’s performance last night. Admittedly, it was an underwhelming match-up, but he is so good to watch. The precision is almost surgical. He threw an uppercut from about 4 yards out and landed sweet ffs. He is a joy to watch that lad.
I thought last nights show was very poor. I think my days of watching BT Sport and boxnation are coming to an end, id probably buy Fury vs Wilder PPV if it happens though.
Poor due to the mismatch main event, the fact they stuck on Crocker v Warburton, Fury fight was ok though. Maybe poor is harsh but it was an average show nothing special

He's a Silver Spooned, Mark Wright type Scumbag. The Man openly and blatantly gives you hints to how corrupted he is. I despise every fibre of him and i hope he starts to ruffle a few feathers in America which results in him pissing of the wrong Man, causing Eddie Hearn to get shot into triple figures and the NYPD finding his body rippled with holes and wounds. Just refreshing to know that the top heavyweight fights can be made without us all having to listen to months and months of purse split percentages etc.
SKY hired Wilder to Cardiff to commentate. Wilder said yes, if I can get into the ring afterwards. AJ/ Hearn find out and make it clear that that won’t be possible. Wilder says no thanks
I just can’t get into this side of boxing. I like actual boxing, I mean watching two fighters in a ring. I find the whole taking sides in the ‘boxing politics’ side of things (splits, who signed what, who gets what venue) a bit cringeworthy. Taking sides with people in suits. It’s like taking sides between representatives of Tesco and Asda. Who cares as long as you’re getting the product on the shelf. It might be a simplistic view put if the product doesn’t end up on the shelf for whatever reason, i’m blaming BOTH for their petty greed. They should keep the negotiations in the boardroom, not on social media. Pathetic from all sides.
Hearn has a big say in the things Sky do so do you really think he would let sky ask Wilder to commentate if he never wanted an AJ/Wilder fight. And also do you think Hearn would say no to wilder getting in the ring if he did turn up. It would have caused massive publicity which would have resulted making the fight even bigger. Exactly what Hearn would have wanted.
Nonsense. Sky bosses had to ring Wilder’s agent to tell him in he couldn’t get in the ring because AJ threw his toys out of the pram. Paraphrasing AJ asked Hearn which Eddie then made public “why do we want to hype the fight?” And even spoke about hiring extra security ffs. Just accept the fact that Hearn/Rob Mccraken and co didn’t want the fight- even Carl Froch told it how it is. Hearn wouldn’t want Wilder in the ring, as the fans would have then demanded the fight happen next which is not the plan. The plan is/was Povetkin, Followed by a nice in-house fight with Whyte and then go from there. Most reasonable people understand why they didn’t want it and the fact that it’s a complex deal to make, much more so then Fury- Wilder. My beef is that Hearn should have found a way to negotiate amicably without pathetic name calling, so it could potentially be set up for next year.
