Fury had two fights after a long layoff. In this second fight he looked a lot closer to his old self than he did in his first fight. He still beats any HW not named Joshua or Wilder.

Eddie Hearn is protecting Joshua and I have no idea why. I'm not selling Povetkin short because this is the heavies and any shot can be the one to put you to sleep, but why is Hearn so against fighting Wilder?
This is good that Wilder faces Fury and Joshua faces Povetkin, it's good build up. If they ain't fighting in April then maybe Wilder should face Whyte if he beats Fury. Just chase Joshua by defeating his competition in better fashion.

Fury isn't going to get tagged by that right hand at long range against Wilder.....He's the best defensive boxer in the division.

Fury needs to stay at range and win Jab v Jab......And then rush him the second he's out of position.

Ortiz won the battle of the jabs, and the one time he got inside Wilder almost got KO'd.....

Fury has a better jab than Ortiz.....
    He's faster than Ortiz.....
He has the best defence in the division.....

But I don't think he's got the edge anymore than made him look so good against Wlad.

He didn't look good against Wladimir. Full credit for winning, but it was not a stirring performance. He was negative.

When Wilder is solidified as the best, I don't want to hear any excuses trying to downplay the heavyweight division because they don't want to give Wilder credit. I always respect the best of any era. This attitude is a problem and was present in every era in the past in boxing and yet another thing that is hurting the sport.

The 2000's Klitschko era was pretty dire and worse then the current era but I've always respected the Klitschko's. Fury/Wilder is the fight that will show potential kinks in the armor but nobody knows boxing enough to actually identify what flaws actually matter before they are revealed in the fights themselves. Even the so called experts. For Fury to really have a chance they'll have to know something nobody else knows. Seems to be they are hoping (like every other Wilder opponent) Wilder is this and that but depending on hope is as sure way to lose.

Wilders just at his cherry picking again more like. Easy to deal with when he's dealing with a guy that's recently lost about 8 stone. Cocaine problems. Inactivity. Looking mediocre at best in the comeback.

Not so easy to deal with against a prime fighter in good form.

Is this the biggest fight in the HW division since Bowe v Holyfield? I mean in terms of importance in the US?

    AJ is a control freak.

Hear me out. What do AJ’s prior opponents all have in common? Predictability. They are fairly easy to prepare for. His best win, albeit a good one, a shot Wlad is an epitome of a predictable fighter. A fighter you can easily prepare for. Christ, Wlad had only three punches in his repertoire: jab, left hook, straight right. That’s it. AJ did amazingly well at ducking every left hook from Wlad. You could clearly see he’s been drilled and drilled repetitively in advance for that left hook. AJ is like a well trained dog, you can teach him skills but he doesn’t do well when he has to adapt on the fly.

    Enter Deontay Wilder.

The most unpredictable and the most dangerous HW now. Yes, lacking fundementals but this is the exact reason AJ is so afraid. He can’t do repetitive drills to prepare for Wilder because Wilder doesn’t throw textbook punches like Wlad does. Deontay throws punches at odd angles that are hard to anticipate. Couple that with the demonic power in his right hand and no wonder AJ is scared. He will more than likely have to adapt in the ring once he steps in with the Wilder, and unless he’s been drilled like a good dog, he will not feel confident.

Not with Davison as his trainer. What made Tyson Fury a threat to both Wilder and Joshua was his mobility, timing, and ability to punch from all angles. I don't think Davison is capable of bringing out the best in Fury just like Aaron Snowell wasn't capable of bringing the best out of Tyson.

Fury also doesn't seem willing to pay Peter or a top trainer what their worth. I have a feeling Fury is going to regret being cheap, since Davison seems like a nice guy, but his mitt work with Fury looked awful.

Snowell was an assistant trainer for Tim Witherspoon before he trained Tyson, but still wasn't qualified to be an elite fighter's head trainer.

quotes from Slim Robinson, for Head trainer for Whiterspoon talking about Snowell

Snowell, who was taught the basics of training by Slim Robinson, Witherspoon's trainer, decided to stay with King. Now, he apparently is getting his reward, but according to trainers who have worked for King, that is probably all he will get.

"King doesn't believe in paying trainers the 10 percent they're entitled to," Robinson said. "But Aaron won't ask for much money. If King pays him $10,000, he'll be happy."

How much teaching does Tyson actually need? Probably not much. But the danger in using a new trainer is that often, in their desire to succeed, they overtrain the fighter to the point of weakness. A case in point is that of New York trainer Hector Roca, who came into boxing with the dubious qualifications of having been a bicycle racer in his native Panama. Somehow, he talked himself into the corners of Iran Barkley, Michael Olajide and Buddy McGirt. All three fighters went into major fights severely overtrained by Roca, and all lost. Not surprisingly, all fired Roca immediately afterward.

"These new guys, they train a fighter to death," Robinson said.

Lewis and Holyfield was more important because Evander was in far better shape than Fury will be and he had beaten Tyson a few years before he met Lewis, both fighters would have battered Fury.

It’s an absolute miracle he’s in the ring again so huge was he at his worst and I can only think this is why he looks so innocuous as he’s only lost weight and not been able to train for strength ect.
Three years of sitting on a couch eating McDonald’s will do that to you lol so her s hoping he can now do some proper training.
