As much as I do enjoy the banter Kugan has with fighters/promoters he interviews, the fact IFL are the biggest players in the Boxing YouTube scene is pure luck for being there first. The fact they can't actually spell is also quite annoying. Recently I have started going straight to Boxing Social, the interview and video quality is 10/10. It seems it's gone to Kugan's head a bit and he's off on holiday all the time. Behind the Gloves sometimes has good content but it gets a bit wishy washy.
Kugan said in a recent interview with Hearn that he wants to stop doing what he does in three years. Probably has a few projects he’s working on. I’ll always stick with IFL for the unique rapport Kugan has with Hearn, Fury, Saunders, Whyte etc.
The problem IFL has is unless Kugan is interviewing the big names such as Hearn, Billy Joe, AJ, Whyte, Tyson, Haye etc then it's no point watching it. No offence to Umar Ahmed or Wingy boxing? But they just don't bring the same appeal to an IFL interview as Kugan does. If Kugan does want to cut back on the work and do other projects then he should be prepared for a slow but mass exodus of viewers to other channels as he needs to be fronting the interviews himself as he's responsible for the views as much as the person he's interviewing imo.
Behind the Gloves is straight up garbage. I avoid any video they publish purely because they've got that silly bimbo fronting them. Seconds Out and Boxing Social for me at the moment.
Kugan is by far the best interviewer but i do agree even his content has been slipping and not been as good over the last few months. Even the Hearn interviews not Kugan doesnt push him anymore or get anything new out in the interview... its like he gets the time but not the exclusives unless its on Eddies terms. IFL still have the behind the scenes access which i find really interesting. I am really enjoying that Rob from Boxing Social lately - he is always well prepared and his questions are considered and relevant. He also asked the harder questions. I dont mind behind the gloves or michelle joy phelps but in terms of content if you have watched the IFL interviews you have heard everything that will be said to BTG's. Fighthype and seconds out are good too... Im even starting to warm to the guy from boxing voice!
Boxing social is good at the moment Guys IFL had working at the weekend were p*ss poor. Scottish guy is very annoying!
Seconds Out is quality, Boxing Social is a good add on. But IFL will always be the Bread and butter. Honourable mention to Fighthype. Those four are the bulk of my Boxing binge. IFL obviously can't/don't push Hearn/Joshua cos they will lose the access. I remember a couple pf weeks ago, Kugan said to Dillian Whyte straight up, that he didn't think Whyte-Parker wasn't PPV. And he immediately got taken the pis* out of by Hearn and Whyte. So i understand why he dosent challenge them.
I watch IFL, Boxing Social and Seconds Out mainly. But if there's some British interest in America (A fighter boxing out there or a promoter working) I may watch some of ThaBoxingVoice or Fight hype.
Not sure what to make of Radio Rahmin doesn't seem like your typical boxing punter almost an American version of Gareth A. Davies. Content is decent though and I enjoy watching his stuff. Boxing social get some good interviews. Have sacked off behind the gloves after that Kid Galahad/BJS nonsense, final straw for me. Unsubscribed. The IFL interview with Big John after the fight on Saturday was vintage, when the music kicks in and Big John started ranting right on cue. Gold! His X-rated comment too about him beating Wilder on a street fight.
whatever happened to the Boxing Gossip channel and his podcast. Used to be an avid listener but he's gone from releasing 3-4 videos a week for a few years solid to disappearing completely. Really enjoyed his content, knowledgable and likeable plus he didn't have to force his opinion down your throat.
The Nes guy from theboxingvoice is very good imo. He has the balls to ask questions that others would stay clear of.
