No sarcasm required. the shot old VLAD who took the chinny robot life and death before getting waved off and never fighting again was without a win in three odd years and coming back from a long layoff. the shot old Hatton who nearly ground out a win against senchenko was without a win in about three years and was coming back from a long layoff, unless you have a better comparison of your own to add? I'm yet to hear a better comparison
are you seriously comparing Hatton and Wlad haha!! Firstly Wlad last win was not three odd years was nearly two years to the day when he got beat off Joshua. the same Wlad who stays in shape all year round who is never out of the gym you are actually comparing it to Hatton three and a half years out of the ring probably a kilo of cocaine up his nose in that time on the **** most days coming down from 16 stone really ??
Great post. I put this on the other site... I’ve just watched the YouTube clip of Wilder’s knockouts. Around 35 of them were proper tin cans...waiting to be knocked out. They either had the movement of a P&O ferry and absorbed a few shots before going down or they naively walked onto a shot (Ortiz, Molina, Szpilka) because they sensed that they had the better of Wilder, got reckless and tried to finish him off. I’m not making Fury out to be something out of the Matrix, because he can be caught every so often. However, he doesn’t get caught (apart from when he showboated against inferior fighters) walking onto a shot. He’s almost always on the backfoot, he doesn’t sit down on any of his shots (hence why some people think he’s no power) and never moves back in straight lines so when he does catch a shot, he rides it thus taking the sting out of it. If he gets bum rushed, he leans right back, weaving away before wrapping them up. From Fury’s perspective, he knows that Wilder is a headhunter, he knows that Wilder will be looking to use the big right hand. He can negate that threat with footwork, jab and upper body movement. We all know that Fury won’t go looking to knock Wilder out, he’s perfectly happy getting a points win so he won’t come forward for him like previous opponents, so Wilder won’t have an opportunity to throw with him. It will be jab jab jab from Fury. Sorry for rambling on and sounding like i’m on the spectrum. I just think stylistically, Fury is his kryptonite.
AJ the chinny robot who came through rocky spells to beat proven punchers in Whyte and Klitschko but no suggestion that Fury could possibly be packing glass having climbed off the floor against the murderous punchers that are Cunningham and Pajkic?
Let’s analyse Fury v Panettone. If Fury wanted the rounds and was just going through the motions but was also being careful not to cut or lose credibility in his performance then why did Panettone find it easy to go body and finish with a hook to the head which landed a few times? If that was Whyte/AJ/Povetkin/Wilder then it’s sleepy time for Fury. I think he is an amazing freak of a boxer but he’s not even close to being sharp enough against the best in the world. He 100000% needs a couple more fights to be certain of a chance but sparring Godzilla won’t get him ready for the 10oz no headguard real deal. Like I’ve said previous though, if he pulls this off it’s a bigger and better achievement than Klit win in my eyes.
That Wlad that fought AJ beats 99% of the division Hatton that fought senchenko would of got brutally destroyed vs any top WW
You raise some good points. Tyson switches off still and that's what was getting him caught a lot on Sat night. Now no one is expecting him to fight in the same style against wilder as he did on Sat, he will keep it long all night and keep to similar tactics as klit I don't think fury is looking for a quick cash in but I have heard that been said already. I like yourself think that wilder team are been cunning here and they would like the fight quickly, they know that Tyson now will in all likelihood be a far easier fight than Tyson in a year, his team will know what his promoters are thinking at this point. "How do we know Tyson will still be around in a year, with his previous for throwing it all in and going off the rails" . They probably mentioned that if you don't take it now then it will be a long time before you get another chance, coupled with the wbc belt dangling, the one thing that Frank and Tyson knows gives them bargaining power if they should meet Hearn across the table, all this has been pitched and tyson/frank have gone for it. We shall have to see if they are in for a rude awakening. Having the fight now is more condusive to wilders team. Imo Totally correct mate, Tyson in that form will make deontay look stupid. Have/Will we get that version of Tyson? I'm not as confident as I'd like to be.
Honestly itd be in Fury's interests to fake an injury a couple of weeks before the fight and try to get another 2-3 months of time. Yeah its a scumbag move but so is Wilder trying to catch Fury when he's not ready.
When did Wilder suddenly become this unstoppable HW? Since when has everyone taken him as such a threat? Is it just the Ortiz fight? I remember everyone constantly mocking his record and his windmilling, yet now everyone says he'll breeze past Fury and Joshua. IMO he has a better chance against AJ and wouldn't catch Fury. But hey, let's talk when a date and venue is actually announced.
