Well one of the best beat writers/podcasters of the sport (Michael Montero) has said he has met Wilder and interviewed him on numerous occasions and that when the camera is off Deontay is a extremely intelligent and genuinely a nice man. And that the Bronze Bomber person is him simply trying to promote himself because his team has done such a terrible job at it. So if you want to direct frustration somewhere it should probably be at DiBella & Finkle.

 

And this is the problem if you only sign with a promoter/s on a fight by fight basis. Dont expect any real promotion. Haymon is cool and all because of Floyd, but alot of his guys are and have been very poorly promoted.

Why is there such a clamoring for Whyte? He had his mandatory Stiverne to take care of. Then fought a more dangerous fight in Ortiz, what everyone wanted him to do. Now he is challenging the lineal champ. Whyte claim is maybe beating Chisora, getting KO'ed by AJ and I guess beating Parker now(didn't watch it) Where the heck is the logic in Whyte? Does nothing for DW. Nowhere in this timeline makes sense. I don't mind seeing it but there are more pressing fights.

Povetkin failed a drug test. Wilder was on a plane to go to Russia. Then Povetkin failed another to fight Stiverne. Cool DW's fault.

Can't speak for Wlad. It was before I got hardcore into boxing. I don't think old Wlad would be in a rush to fight DW would be my assumption.

Now his promotion is a fair dig. He should be making his rounds on all the late night shows. Don't think he has ever been on one. Hopefully the build up for this fight changes that. That's all it will take. Late night shows and floor seats at big NBA games really. That's how Floyd and especially Pac-Man became big in America.
