Joshua's gate receipts are sufficient to allow him to earn vast sums of money, pay other top heavyweights far more than they could earn elsewhere, fund undercards capable of sustaining consistent 1m + UK PPV sales and all this whilst ensuring that his fate is not resting in the hands of Adalaide Byrd and friends. All this whilst reinforcing his UK brand presence which allows him to then earn big from his growing portfolio of commercial partnerships. So he can afford to not care what a group of Vegas casinos may offer for a one off fight in Vegas.

The lineal claim is very questionable when it comes to Fury but is in any case worth very little. Most casuals don't even know what it means, they can however count up to 4

without getting into conversations around nandrolone tests, retirements etc.

Can you back any of that up?

Not automatically. Wilder is barely known and Fury certainly isn’t to the general public Stateside. Most Americans would still know Wlad over and above Wilder.

This fight doesn’t have the cache you claim it does. Fury has been out of the game for too long and has looked pretty poor in his last two fights against absolute puddings.

750k ppv buys in the US. Lol will be lucky to get half of that.

UK ppv buys. Again I don't think it will do huge numbers. Its Tyson Fury FFS.

Trying to compare this with the Mayweather v McGregor or Mayweather v Hatton is beyond stupid.

Try explaining to the casual fan where Fury's lineal title is? Tell them why they can only see one belt.
Nobody gives a damn about the lineal title.

OP is a bad troll or 7 years old.
He's saying this fight will do close to what Cotto-Canelo did PPV wise. LMAO

If they generate 400,000 PPVs, they'll make three times what Parker-Whyte sold. US PPVs are like $85/$95. UK PPVs are a lot less expensive and therefore generate less money.

Difference is Hatton and McGregor have very big followings in the UK and Tyson Fury certianly does not.

Wilder has never had a PPV fight whilst Fury only had one I think against Wlad.

What did bigger numbers Wlad vs Fury or Whyte vs Parker?

If they sell 375,000 PPVs in the US, they'll generate more than $30 million from that market alone. And that's not including UK PPVs.

US PPV is where the money is.

The worst US PPV buys generate more money than the 80,000 ticket sales for Joshua fight.

    Something Eddie Hearn never grasped.

Tyson Fury has never had a US PPV. The Fury-Klitschko fight was on HBO.

Whyte-Parker wasn't even on television in the U.S.

So HBO viewership numbers would be larger than NO viewership numbers.

If it does well in the States, then fair enough and congratulations. I can't see it though.
Yep. Ask most boxing fans and they'll tell you that this is a great fight, but if you ask the casual fan.....

Fights doing well financially is all down to capturing the imagination of the casuals. I hope it does well, but I can't see it. Over 200k PPVs in the States would be a success, relatively speaking, given that this is their first PPV event there.

In the UK I can see it doing OK, but nothing more. Fury has his hardcore fans, but the casuals don't really care for him, so I find it difficult to believe they'll pay for a fight that's on at 4am.

If just the boxing fans buy the US PPV, that'll be plenty for starters.

None of the current crop of heavyweights have headlined a PPV boxing show in the U.S.

Wilder and Fury will be the first. They'll set the bar for the big boys.
