I think you have a point. Great for European fight fans but the promoters would surely prefer to draw from a wider pool.

I can’t wait until WBSS III: Cruiserweight, cruiserweight and more cruiserweight.

Well Haymon has turned 147 and 154 into moldy cheese where everyone just sits idle. Nobody wants to fight each and constantly need tune ups.

WBSS is working with divisions where fighters actually want to....wait for it FIGHT.

So are you saying there are only two divisions in boxing?

Find something else — create a heavyweight contender, do a deep dive into 175, find something below lightweight ... just reruns of cruiser does nothing for me or probaby for most fans.

Something about seeing their names in close proximity, in that order, with Fayfer making the cut and Gassiev being on "reserve" status makes me want to punch a hole through the wall.

The winner of that fight will move up to HW, so all the best cruiser weights remaining are likely to be in this tourney and the format guarantees the winner will be the best CW remaining.

Worst case scenario, Usyk beats Bellew, doesn't move up to HW, and the winner of this is the one most likely to get a shot at him

    Either way it's great news.

    Awesome news this.

Just what we need with the likely departure of the champ.

Pretty much. Those divisions are stacked and have the potential to be exciting but are probably the slowest moving divisions ; and everyone is on the shelf.

3...2...1... And the WBA have created a new belt!

Ah ****, the already have Shumenov one! (I wonder if they will strip him like they did Lebedev?)

But it's a legit lineup with the exception of Taibiti and Fayfer.
