Who do you rank higher: GGG or Sergio Martinez

    Both were the top MW champs in the 2010s era. In terms of accomplishments in the MW division in recent time who would you say has achieved more?
    A win over Canelo by GGG should solidify his superiority IMO, if he’s not already seen as greater than Martinez.

    Golovkin is better. I feel like Martinez kind of has better wins though? I don't know. He has better moments to me.

    Martinez proved his greatness. Golovkin arguably lost to Jacobs and drew with a fighter who spent all his career 155 and below.

    It’s relatively close but lean Martinez as far as resume. GGG wins the head to head as he’s better.

    I rank Martinez higher, but GGG will go down in history as the greater fighter when he doesn't deserve to.

    Lol! Nice try. Golovkin beat both Jacobs and Clenelo (The Vast Majority Agree) and is getting ready to set the middleweight title defense record.

    Rests on how high you rate Pavlik and Williams I suppose. After that was Dzinziruk, Macklin, Barker, Jr and Murray. A decent string of wins no doubt but rests heavily on those two victories. If you have Pavlik and Williams as grade A wins, Martinez may edge it. But either side of those 7 fights are the Cotto loss ( doesn't affect his standing in my eyes ), a Williams loss, Cintron draw, Margarito loss and not much else.

    While on the subject of questionable results, how did you feel about the Canelo vs Trout and Canelo vs Lara fights? By your logic, your favourite fighter isn't too **** hot. Losing to a natural 145lb'er and robbing Trout & Lara.
