Yoka hasn't impressed me either but Dave Allen has been in the ring (fights and spars) with Joshua, Fury, Whyte and Ortiz. The focus is on his athleticism which is a big factor, especially when you see Joshua and Whyte gasping for life in the mid-late rounds when they box.
Look at all the Wilder fan girls rushing to the defence of their beloved pensioner Ortiz Yoka would send that dude into a long overdue retirement.
What a checklist we've hit here "Never laced up a glove" "Never been in the ring" "Mother's basement" THAT'S A BINGO! You ever criticised (accurately) anything outside of your professional career (assuming you have one)?
I get that sort of thing once in awhile when I'm offering an opinion on boxing and it used to get me angry but I always remember what my friend said to me years ago, 'Lennox,' he said, 'Just don't let that online stuff bother you my friend'.
Ok, so Dave Allen is saying that Tony Yoka is the best he has been in the ring with. How can anyone just say "No"? "Hey Dave, listen, I don´t care what you felt in the ring, that Ortiz guy must have been harder." Yes sure.
Doesn't Yoka get trained by the same guy who trains Amir Khan something Brady is it?? If any PEDS are involved surely the finger would be pointed towards him I can't see that !
I've never claimed I knew more about a field I am not involved in than an expert in that field. Like a butcher saying 'I know more about science than Stephen Hawking'. Sure you can have an opinion about science but don't claim you know more than someone who has dedicated their life to studying it.
Dave Allen is The freaking Man. After smashing Webb, hes elevated himself to Lucas Browne/David Price level in my opinion. If only he could stay in shape for longer than a 1st rd tech draw. Allen, Browne and Price should fight each other in a round robin tourney for the World Blue Collar Heavyweight title. Put Rostislav Plechko in there as well for good measure.
That's such a terrible comparison. The idea that your opinion is invalid because you haven't boxed is absurd and frankly lazy. I've been boxing for just over a year. If you've been boxing for 2 years, does that then mean all of your opinions hold more value than mine? No, it doesn't. Just because you're 'doing' boxing doesn't mean you know about boxing, about other fighters, about history, about styles - none of it.
So you think you're more qualified to assess two fighters than a guy who's shared a ring with both of them?
