Hatton - Mayweather did approx 900,000 UK boys. If BT can promote it properly and they have already made a good start on social media then I believe it could do 1m UK especially if frank or MTK decide to do a U.K. lead in.
Depends on your definition of doing well. If you're going to compare it to Hatton or Joshua fights then it's going to bomb. If it's on at 4am and does over 500,000 uk buys I'd consider that a success
The numbers may will depend on the undercards. Also GG/Canelo and Fury/Wilder will be around 4-5am UK time and that is always a struggle with PPV. Warrington Vs Frampton is a good fight but they are not exactly huge names, not very high profile in England compared to others. I'm just not hearing people speak about this one like they are speaking about AJ/Povetkin, Fury/Wilder or Golovkin/Canelo. There isn't much interest in Warrington/Frampton outside very keen boxing fans. This will all come to a head sooner or later, people will just stop buying PPV's or they will start being selective and then certain fights will suffer and lose a lot of money.
Fury is terrible to watch. No excitement whatsoever. Even at his best he was a poor watch. He's basically a spoiler. He's good at it tbf ...but he's dull as dishwater as a fighter. He only sells because he's a great talker. He's also fought two useless guys on his comeback. The Desperation's so much for frank to make a half decent fight he's willing to stick him in way before he's ready. He's boring to watch on normal TV let alone ppv. Just doesn't have the attributes for it. Wilders just as bad...walked away from a real fight...to take on a guy that's recently lost nine stone. Been on a cocaine binge for three years. He's done the same thing again and again throughout his career. Had forty fights and fought one proper opponent in that time. Who happened to be forty years old. Who,s best win was Jennings. Wilder will get shown up as soon as he fights an opponent that has attributes he doesn't like. Ortiz was outboxing him. Joshua will beat him up and bully him. No offence but its a sideshow. I m a bigger fan of fury as I am of Joshua. But Joshua is ppv worthy. Fury never will be as a fighter. Regardless if he could beat him. The attributes just aren't there for it. He's not even good to watch...from a pure boxing perspective either tbh.

Not particularly no. It was a great achievement tbf. And great performance from fury...but it wasn't entertaining to watch as a casual or a boxing conissuer. To label fury v wilder as a superfight as it currently is being labelled...is massive spin imo. Desperate stuff from frank. The guy who,s been out 3 years...never been entertaining against a guy that's been ridiculed his whole career. Isn't a superfight.
What irks me more than anything is that I'm paying for stuff I'm not even using. To get maximum boxing coverage now in the UK I need to have Sky Sports and BT Sport, and then PPVs on top of that. I don't watch cricket, football, or anything else. They are of no interest to me but I still have to pay for them to get the boxing. BoxNation had the right idea, a dedicated boxing channel for low monthly cost, and I was happy to support that. But they've cut their own throat recently by either making all the better fights BT Sport exclusive or increasingly not bothering to cover fights of interest in the U.S. Both Sky, ITV and BT Sport are pushing the boundaries of what kind of event the public are willing to pay PPV for. Can't really blame them, its a business. If people are happy to pay for it, expect more of them. The only way this self-corrects is when the buys stop.
