    Yeah, not sure about his trepidation regarding going to Mexico either. How far does he suppose they're going to bend the rules for a guy that isn't even Mexican??

    Plus, this would be an IBF title contest, so they'll be assigning the officials and everything. If this were the WBC, then I could see being nervous about going to Mexico, but... :nusenuse:

    ...also, I'm not altogether convinced the judges wouldn't be academic here. :sisi1

    With all due respect to Gabe, he's a tough nut for sure, but at the end of the day he was stopped by Lemieux, Kid Chocolate, and El Perro. In other words, three of his four stoppage losses (GGG is obviously forgivable) were to guys that may have been world class but all flawed and on the bubble of truly hardcore elite...and, to a man, way smaller than Uzzy, who is a strong, natural SMW and kayo artist.

    the Uzcat by wide decision, probably lot's of spilled blood.

    edit: the Kid Cacao stoppage was more to save Quillin as Rosado imo.

    You'd imagine Uzi would make relatively short work of Gabe. Probably for the best he's not taking this fight.

    Exactly what I mean. Not sure I buy the whole Mexico thing as a valid excuse, but just generally saying no to go up to 168 to fight Uzi is absolutely fine for Rosado in my eyes anyway. He always seems down normally, which is why I wondered if he'd ever said no previously.

    I certainly don't blame him, and you're right, his cred is more than well enough already established where nobody could think less of him for passing. Just weird he would make up an excuse rather than just say "I'm not a SMW".

    Like if he got offered to fight Usyk would he be like "mmm, not sure I trust Ukrainian officiating.."? :dunno
