Not that Cerrone isn't without diva tendencies himself, but a lot of what was said here seemed pretty genuine.

I came to reference Cerrone's appearance on the JRE. For what its worth, Cerrone's story is totally believeable, even if his presentation is colored by hurt feelings and the narrative gets a little circuitous. In short, he says that Greg got burnt out, that Winklejohn is overly focused on money, and that the gym's vibe has changed. Joe chims in several times to corroborate that the gym is mismanaged.

I don't think its a USADA thing. Obviously Jones' issues are well known, and the gym had a few other suspicious characters (Diego Sanchez?) vis a vie PEDs, but it makes more sense that the gym is suffering from decaying leadership than a change in drug testing.

Dave Camarillo is BRILLIANT coach who apparently walked away from MMA to focus strictly on coaching judo/bjj and the equally brilliant Ricardo Liborio departed from ATT under similar circumstances (look up Ricardo's top female black belt, Gezary Matuda's highlights if you enjoy violent submissions).

In boxing guys like Futch, Roach, Robert/Big G Garcia, Arcel hang around for decades, but MMA seems to wear out coaches in a hurry. I'm curious to see if guys like Firas Zahabi and Javier Mendez can buck that trend.
