I’ve been here for over six years, and I’ve done an official IQ test. I’m multiple standard deviations away from the median but not in the direction you’re suggesting. I’ve only mentioned facts, and any subjective opinions of mine are based on the fact that Garcia hasn’t fought anyone. You’re the one speculating, I’m talking observations. You seem to have an issue with ‘world class’. I’m using that as synonymous with ‘elite’. On many definitions Garcia is world class, but I consider him paper title level and yet to step up. That’s reasonable since his best opponent was many years ago and he hasn’t fought any elite fighter he has called out. If he didn’t duck Linares, and then he beat him convincingly I’d have no problems describing Mikey as world class. But that’s not what happened, Garcia cried about money, put on a couple of pounds to fight some bum then cried again about Linares moving on without him. Here we are yet again, watching Mikey talk and fight no one. It’s getting tiresome to fans of the sport. Maybe you enjoy mismatches, while having autistic appreciation for numbers and KO percentages. For fans of the sport we want to see the best fight the best, that’s why Lomachenko and Usyk are so appreciated. That’s why I’m not a fan of Joshua anymore, and I’ll follow Wilder closer. It’s about the glory and the history at the end of the day.

I don't doubt that. A simple analysis of your writing style shows you at least have a good studied verbal talent, and the way you arrange thoughts shows you are capable of making logical arguments. If you aren't crazy, stupid, or a troll, then I believe you must have started out reasoning about boxing from unsound foundations, and your whole house of knowledge is crooked. Furthermore, perhaps your intellectual arrogance has prevented you from admitting to your earlier mistakes and fixing them in accordance with later experience. Chill bro. Its not that serious. Like i said he wants the fight that matter when they matter. Whether they happen or not remains to be seen. He`ll either fight them or he wont. If he doesnt then he`ll look like nothing but a clown. How about we give him a chance to do so and not throw him under the bus over one fight that didnt get done.

We need to take eras and context into account. Not accept dogma that there was a ‘best of all time’ and that’s it. Sport evolves and SRR clearly doesn’t have the skills someone like Lomachenko has. SRR is largely considered a pioneer of his style, he created it and guys like Ali, Leonard, Roy Jones took it to other places. It’s not an idiosyncratic style anymore and if the SRR we saw in video was placed in the ring today he would be nothing special. Pioneers in every field are viewed as greats. But then you need to remember that others stand on the shoulders of giants. Lomachenko is next level at the moment and he will also go down as a pioneer. I can’t envision it right now but it’s possible that if boxing is still around in another hundred years we might look back at footage of Lomachenko and think he’s basic.
Garcia isn’t pound for pound for anybody who is honest and knows about boxing. You need opponents to be considered, and at least look dazzlingly good against lower tier opponents (as Crawford does). Garcia loses rounds while collecting meaningless paper belts. He hasn’t been the man in any division. I’m not stubborn, I’m open to well reasoned arguments as to why I’m wrong. You’ve made it crystal clear that you have nothing to say as you’ve just made ad hominem attacks and talked about imaginary political affiliations. I just take you less and less seriously with every post you make as you’re making it look like you have precisely zero to offer.

 

That’s fine for you to claim that but then the onus is on you to provide examples of how my presuppositions are founded on unreasonable axioms. I’ve laid out my process of reasoning so take it back to where I’ve gone wrong and explain it to me.
I do my best to precisely lay out my process but it’s likely that it’s sometimes perceived out of context to appear crazy, stupid, trollish etc. If that is the case then I need to do a better job of getting my point across and elaborating to a greater extent. If you believe that I’m not a troll then it’s only fair for you to point out something that appears ‘crazy’ so I have the opportunity to make a better argument. I often don’t take a lot of time when I’m typing out posts because it’s just a forum I jump on every now and then so I don’t take it too seriously. However my posts are always genuine.
