Can't stand it when they shade every comment throughout a broadcast toward one fighter. Clearly, the hope was Beltran was going to win this fight. To think these announcers had it even going into the championship rounds was ridiculous. And then when Pedraza dropped Beltran in the 11th they shut up about the importance of the championship rounds and didn't mention anything about scoring anymore. Yes, Beltran was the aggressor but Pedraza was landing the more effective shots. These announcers need to be pulled aside and spoken to, keep it neutral. You are disserving your viewing audience by showing such bias. People get turned off by it.

Uh, they were pulled aside and spoken to after the fight was official.

Maybe they were trying to seem the fight more exciting/closer than it was? Look at all this drama, who's going to win! It all depends on these last two rounds. Pedraza totally didn't outbox him for the majority of the fight.

I thought HBO was getting bad, but ESPN have been knocking out of the park on a week to week basis. They've literally been calling the shot, Babe Ruth style. They're consistently ****ing repulsive, all of them.

115-112 to me was a HORRIBLE card it was 10-2 or 9-3. Beltran looked like **** it sucked for him but that's just how it went, fat dans score sucked after round 2 I knew beltran lost. I cant think of being even so generous to find 4 rounds he won. it is what it is I liked beltran but he lost badly.

the thing about HBO is Maxs job is to disagree with Harold. so it ends up being FAR LEFT or FAR RIGHT. never a happy medium on hbo. and with the retiring of Jim watt uk scoring as always been better. HBO does story telling.

I can see 8-4 but for these clowns trying to promote a Beltran decision going into the championship rounds is silly.

The other aspect that is insulting to us all is Pedraza is from Puerto Rico, a territory of the US. Beltran is from Mexico, now a citizen. We know what this is really all about. ESPN has gotten extremely PC. How they present fights is no different.

They need to take the politics out of boxing and sports overall. People often times turn to sports to get away from politics. What a shame they have to keep beating us over the head with it.

Yep everybody involved with ESPN couldn’t hide the bias.. Beltran has the feel good story that woulda been perfect to tell all over again going into a fight vs LOMA.. They all had the fight even going into the championship rounds even Fat Dan.. I had it 7-3 at best for Pedraza thank god the judges saw the right fight which is rare in a champs hometown on top of him being the network preferable choice to fight loma

That´s why i tuned into ESPN Deportes. Don't speak a lick of Spanish, can't hear any bias.

Interesting reaction from the American Mexican crowd after Pedraza’s win. It was a great fight yet they lambasted a humble and appreciative Pedraza.

Sadly, not surprising. People have been so indoctrinated, so brainwashed into thinking "you are either with us or you are against us." Kind of like jury nullification.

It was bad, but not as bad as the Box Nation bunch at the Fury-Pianetta fight. MavGuigan and Haye were praising Fury to the skies, and making all sorts of excuses for Fury for looking like feces. I've never had any respect for Haye but I was disappointed in Barry.

Last night ESPN's Don Rafael had Beltran up by a round in I believe it was the 9th round. Crazy, but maybe he was seeing something I didn't see because I had Pedraza up something like 10 rounds to 2. Was Rafael at ringside or watching on TV? Sometimes that makes a difference.

That sort of spiteful dedication was a bad look for the crowd. I know that isn’t a true indicator of most Mexicans that have a passion for the sport.
