I don’t hate the ESSEX snide but I pray at night for the lost souls who hero worship a guy who openly admits he sees them as cattle to be milked.
Wasn't a fan of Hearn as I found him to be rather smug and slimy, however, over the past year, I've grown to like him quite a bit more. Not quite sure what caused my change in stance. Was gradual over time. Maybe I viewed an interview with him that resonated with me...
I think not all but some just hate on people doing well. People were predicting he would fail when he took over the reigns from his dad. Instead of holding up there hands and saying they got it wrong. They rather hate on the dude
I think you are confusing Anti matchroom fanboys to Anti Hearn. My main problem with Hearn is Stubhub and making everything PPV not to mention the price of his tickets. My main issue around Hearn is this weird Matchroom FC cult following he has developed. Fair play to him for doing it I guess.
You can say the exact same thing about Hearn when Joshua leaves. Bellew has one fight left. Brook and Khan are almost done. The rest are prospects essentially, and one defeat derails their careers.
Jealously obviously has a part to play, but my first memories of Eddie as I am sure is the same for many others was him talking up Audley pre Haye and then arguing with Oscar and the ‘cheated not defeated’ saga with Paul Mcclosky after Khan. He is an Essex wideboy, has a lot to say and has backtracked on some of his earlier promises like how PPV was bad for boxing. He talks well and you want to buy into it but we all know he is a salesman. They all are money oriented of course but for now in England he is the face of greed/bleeding dry the hardcore and that’s why.People don’t trust him and are offended by his IFL vids where he mocks the hardcore fan and there complaints about cards and PPV by telling them ‘it’s only 20 quid’ and discussing selling punnets of strawberries. Personally I reckon he is alright but you would be a fool to trust in him more than any other. What he does do very well is keep his lads active and keep to scheduled cards. That for me as a fan counts and I ignore a lot of the kugan nonsense and Wilder bait.
The American fans don't know him as well as we do over here but the reasons why he's hated are as follows 1. He's the best promoter 2. He's a good looking ******* 3. He takes the mick out of everyone including himself 4. He manages the sell even the crappiest fight. 5. He has his own fighters, licking his arse hole left right and centre.
Eddie has longevity with Sky behind him Fwank is like a cuckoo but after BT I think he’s done and I can see BT dumping the investment in Boxing way before Sky ever do. I sincerely hope they both go on as they are cos we benefit but in a couple of years I can see some big changes.
