Suggesting a boxer is on PEDS is fair game after they have failed 2 tests as far as I am concerned.

This is not a new thing.

Athletes who have failed tests have always been discredited.

Remember it is 2 tests he failed, not just 1.
1 could genuinely be a 'mistake', but two?

    Don't want to be known as a ******? Don't **** women.....(Tyson)
Don't want to be known as a drugs cheat? Don't fail multiple tests.....(Canelo+Ortiz)

Doesn't matter our reaction, as the internet would crash immidiately after. Starts raining blood all over the world, the death will walk the earth and ODLH will pull a trident (not just a tiny fork size one this time) out of his butt and reveal his true form.

    REPENT! REPENT! :scared1

Of course you always have to examine the details and circumstances surrounding a failed test before you can make an informed assessment. Otherwise you're being ignorant. There's also a big difference between failing a test in competition and failing a test as part of a random testing program that you voluntarily enrolled in. Further, there's a big difference between failing a test in which there is no possibility of meat contamination vs failing a test where there's a high probability of meat contamination.

The tests were 3 days apart. Both were of trace amounts consistent with meat contamination and the 2nd test simply showed that the substance was exiting the body.

I don't understand this 'Trace amounts consistent with meat contamination' rubbish.

If Meat contamination is a legitimate reason....

Why wouldn't the threshold for failure take it into account?

E.g. Meat contamination results in 0.3mg of Clenbuterol.....Therefore 0.3mg and below is not a failed test!

WADA considers all clenbuterol values below 1ng/ml in the range of potential meat contamination. Both of Canelo's results were well below that limit.

There is no threshold of positive values that are not considered a positive test. Any value no matter how low result in a positive test. WADA admits that there is no "magic solution" to know if clenbuterol positives are due to doping or due to contaminated meat. All they or VADA can do is investigate the circumstances surrounding the test and put the athlete through additional testing.

You've solved it then with that reply.

    'Meat contamination' isn't proven.

So he's failed 2 tests with no legitimate reason.

I never claimed that meat contamination could be proven. The reason for the tests could very well be due to meat contamination due to the levels and due to the known meat contamination problem in Mexico, but there's no way to prove it, just like there's no way to prove he was doping.

Clenelo ducked VADA in the Trout fight. Insisted on USADA, an agency that has shown itself repeatedly to be corrupt. Then Clenelo ducked VADA in the Liam Smith fight.

Does Clenelo pay you? You defend him like he's related to you.

Oh dear, you've clearly got an axe to grind with Canelo with statements like this. I am well aware of the complaints about USADA, but you can't blame fighters or promoters for using it. Why don't you tell us what convinced you that Canelo ducked VADA vs Trout?

As far as Liam Smith, on VADA's own website it states that "Liam Smith has withdrawn from VADA in advance of his September 17th bout with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez."

    Check it for yourself :

    http://vada-testing.org/liam-smith/

That would indicate that it was Smith and not Canelo who ducked VADA.
