Care to tell us why Carnera, with this impressive list of ko's isn't listed in the top 100 punchers of all time?

ps. I've seen all the film available of Carnera and talked to Reg Gutteridge ,whose Uncle seconded him in the UK

Why mentioning carrying people than in a Carnera thread? It has no value. Are you trying to insinuate things? If you think he won fix fights, which one?

Are you going to continue to duck the which top ten middles hank beat? You said you get to it. Your a dense, run away from facts, no account type of guy. Keep up the good work.

I showed you examples of the press not giving Carnera fair treatment. If Carnera was black, and the press same things were said, you'd scream racism.

DUH, the list in done in a pound for pound sense. This is why Jimmy Wilde is way up there.

Carnera wasn't among the best 50 heavyweight punchers for sure, but he had some power. To say he didn't is foolish even by your standards.

Which fights of his do I think were fixed in his favour?
Is that what you are trying to ask me in your garbled Mendoza speak?

He isn't in the top 50 heavyweight list either! Why is that care to explain?
How can he have those high percentage figures ,the best actually ,and not be included?
How come his is the only undisputed world champion not in the HOF? Care to explain that too?

    How many do you want?

According to boxing historian Herbert Goldman, Carnera was "very much mob controlled."[27] Carnera met his first serious heavyweight contender, Young Stribling, in 1929, and won when Stribling fouled him. In a rematch, he fouled Stribling. His 1930 fight against California club fighter Bombo Chevalier in Emeryville was considered fixed, and Carnera was banned from fighting in California.[28] His 1930 match against George Godfrey was controversial, as Godfrey was disqualified in the sixth round when he was clearly getting the better of Carnera.[29]

Time magazine, in an 5 October 1931 cover story on Carnera before he won the heavyweight title, commented on his odd career:[30]

Since his arrival in the US, backed by a group of prosperous but shady entrepreneurs, Carnera's career has been less glorious than fantastic. His first opponents—Big Boy Peterson, Elzear Rioux, Cowboy Owens—were known to be incompetent but their feeble opposition to Carnera suggested that they had been bribed to lose. Suspicion concerning the Monster's abilities became almost universal when another adversary, Bombo Chevalier, stated that one of his own seconds had threatened to kill him unless he lost to Carnera. Against the huge, lazy, amiable Negro George Godfrey (249 lb), he won on a foul. But only one of 33 US opponents has defeated Monster Carnera—fat, slovenly Jimmy Maloney, whom Sharkey beat five years ago. In a return fight, at Miami last March, Carnera managed to outpoint Maloney.

No that cannot be the fundamental truth. Uzcudun was rated in 1933 and perhaps every year before that.

All you can say is that by the end of the year Paulino did not feature in the ratings but he almost certainly beat rated contenders within those years and would have registered in the ratings on individual months.

Proof of this is Don McCorkindale. In 1933 big Don made the end of year rankings even though he lost badly to Paulino Uzcudun, which must have been why Paulino fought for the title that year and Big Don didn’t.

In 1931 paulino would have registered a ranking the month he beat Max Baer. That was a big win with international exposure. A twenty rounder in front of 18,000 fans watching the first fight held in Reno since Jack Johnson beat Jeffries.

The problem was all the contenders fought so often that the ranks really changed with different names occupying numbered spots from month to month, rarely a contender sat on a rating with easy wins. You cannot say who all the contenders were who registered a ranking in a particular year without having all 12 issues that year. The annual rating is just The last top ten of a particular year.

The same magazine that said this punch didn't happen?
    https://streamable.com/s8evx

The same one that wouldn't recognize him as champion, or something along those lines?

That might explain that, don't you think?
I guess unless you agree with them.

Ring end of the year annual ratings are worthless.

Use the wayback machine if you forget where who was ranked and take a look at the annual rating per the years you were watching and paying attention.

Just another flimsy source filled with unexplained inconsistencies.

The same reason Bert Sugar called Klitschko T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E.

Bert Sugar was not Nat Fleischer, neither in thought, deed, or knowledge. He was chucked out of the Sports Writers Guild.

Campolo also beat Arturo Godoy. How on earth did campolo manage that if he was not any good? After being knocked out by Primo, Campolo beat Arturo Godoy!

I also shudder at the thought of heavyweight boxers flying commercial aircraft but that takes nothing away from them registering within the Ring top ten.
