Pavlik had a size advantage over most of his opponents at 160 pounds, he wouldn't have that with Froch who was a big super middleweight and had a very good chin. Froch by UD or late stoppage imo.
Normally I'd would have predicted prime Pavlik to stop prime Froch, but Froch has proven me wrong so many times that I predict Froch by SD in front of 80.000 creaming fans at Wembley. And him to be very modest about it, never mentioning it once.
Froch would of beaten him. Froch could take whatever Pavlik dished out but I don't think Pavlik could of taken what Froch could of dished out. Think it would of been a hell of a fight but in the end the more durable Froch comes out on top and KO's Pavlik.
I must admit, the more people crack jokes about Froch always referencing 80,000 fans at Wembley and then seeing Froch on a card talking about 80,000 fans at Wembley for him the more I like him The guy is his own biggest fan, but look at him, the career he had, the money he made, the woman he bedded and who could blame him. I'd be my biggest fan too if I was Carl Froch
Froch late stoppage 11-12 They are fairly well matched but Froch had that intangible ability that Pavlik didnt
Froch would KO Pavlik in a barnburner. Froch wasn't huge at SMW but he would have had a slight size advantage over Pavlik, they can both bang but Froch has the better chin. When it comes down to it over their careers we saw a few things that differentiates them. 1) Froch is mentally tougher. Not that Pavlik is a slouch but when things went wrong for him, other than Taylor Pavlik tended not to have the added mental strength to drag the fights fully into the trenches. 2) Froch fought at a higher level and was able to make adjustments. Well behind and hurt v Groves he was able to weather the storm and change the course of the fight but applying more pressure and wearing Groves down. We never got to see how it would have planned out properly in that fight due to the **** ref but the second showed us a more composed Froch box with patience and wait for Groves defensive lapses to open up a shot for him. Again with Kessler he made adjustments to win the second and even v Ward he had his success' in the second half of the fight as opposed to the first half which Ward dominated. 3) Froch is technically better and can fight with different tactics. Completely outboxed Abraham and stuck to a game plan throughout, ran through Bute, adapted in fights with Groves, Taylor, Pascal. Froch has a better all.round game. Simply put Froch is a better version of Pavlik, it wouldn't be an easy fight but he'd just have a little.bit more of everything, would.grind Pavlik.down and either win a UD or stop him late. I'm going with the stoppage just because Froch fights tend to be drama filled.
Cracked me up, lol We should be able to place bets on how long it will be until he brings that up. Normally takes about 2min if we do not count those few times he mentions it to people while on his way from car park to the studio.
