Are you guys annoyed by the gap between Mikey's theoretical opposition and his actual opposition?

    He's called out Cotto, Crawford, Spence, Loma...

    Has fought JuanMa, Broner, Easter (I would say those were his biggest names)

    I'm a fan of Mikey but I don't like that he's getting credit just for calling people out. In my eyes, until you fight them you don't get any credit.

    One could argue then that, say, Golovkin doesn't deserve credit for beating the best available in his era without regard for who ducked him (or whether indeed many of his top contemporaries at MW did) throughout his prime.

    Theoretical opposition could have included Pavlik, Maravilla, Pirog, Sturm, Quillin and Ward.

    Aside from Jacobs, which of his actual wins are significantly better scalps than, say, Quillin (the weakest of the group above)?

    Only reason he's "willing" to fight Spence is he's got a ready made excuse (the size) when his arse gets handed to him.

    He'd never be able to live down a whooping from a smaller Loma, what would Ellie talk about then

    The big difference is the weight jumping done by Garcia.

    GGG has been a career middleweight and has chased Sergio,Sturm and Pirog amongst others.

    There was never any hiding place for him staying at 160.It was black and white.

    He’s the problem imo,Garcia should have Sechbac banned from his gym as all he does is stir up **** making Garcia look less than good.in reality I think Garcia is up for anyone but things rarely work out the way one would like.

    GGG fought Alvarez. He may not have beaten him officially, but he did fight him. He walked the walk.

    I don't see GGG going around calling out people that are at the apex of the p4p list, and then getting credit like calling out these people means anything with regards to his ability.

    Some might argue, however, that JuanMa/Broner/Easter cancel out Canelo+Jacobs. I'm not saying I agree necessarily...but it does bear repeating that Canelo had never fought a real middleweight at middleweight before, and if one really wanted to be nit-picky they could write off Jacobs as "Pirog's leftovers"...

    Could be but he's definitely not in the league of guys like Cotto, Spence, Crawford and Loma.

    Canelo is one of the biggest names in the sport and on damn near everyone's list of the 10 best fighters in the sport. JuanMa, Broner, Easter were nowhere near there. JuanMa was near there some point but not when Mikey fought him after Salido knocked him out.

    I don't care if it takes 100 people I'm not gonna give credit to a guy for just calling someone out.

    The exception being a situation like Lewis over Bowe because even though he didn't fight him he still took his titles.

    I never said he gets credit but why hate he's just throwing names out of who he wants to fight I was bummed that the cotto fight didn't happen
