Regarding Roy's fight with Bernard, that was a technical fight.

It's ignorant of you just to dismiss it as being dreadful.

Dreadful in what way?

You'd got 2 young fighters giving their all for a vacant belt. Also, you'd got a guy in Bernard who'd hardly had any exposure, and you'd got Roy who'd recently split from his domineering father, who also had an injured hand going into the bout. Due to their styles and their circumstances, it was always going to be a very cagey affair. It was never going to be a Ward-Gatti type fight. But it was a fight fought at a very high skill level.

in your history, yes.

 

most fighters are technical. and some are so technical that the other guy does not seem to be. Tito was just outclassed by the technique of Hopkins. Hagler and Duran was rather technical. Not exciting but technical. Duran let that right go and it was almost like a jab because it kept Hagler back, until Hagler had to pour it on later. And Hagler and Ray.. Hagler and Vito. GGG is not exactly Mr. Technique. He swarms guys and takes them out. I think Hagler would outbox GGG easily and stop him.

Basically, you don't rate the fight because it wasn't entertaining to you.
