So nobody wants to talk about PBCs 3 year showtime extension and potential fox deal?

Allegedly PBC was dying, running out of dates and money and all their fighters were going to run off to other promoters

Mighty silent on that front.... now they’ve been blessed with more money, more dates, multiple networks and what seems to be upcoming ppvs with wilder-fury and Errol-mikey.

    Must hurt the haters

How can you call everyone haters?
They came out with a massive bang. Signing over 100 top tier guys. They announced like 5 or more TV channels.
Boxing was supposed to come back on free TV. And it did... for a while.

Then they started cutting ties with one channel after another.
Big events were less rare and inactivity kicked in.
Suddenly the blockbuster events such as Thurman-Porter were now on SHO.
Wasn't long til majority of their top names were on SHO.

So of course there were tons of skeptics!

PBC might be striving, or barely surviving, but they are not what they set out to be. Credit to them for overcoming adversity.

And no one cares about the 3 year deal because Haymon has been SHO boxing's main contributor since 2014.

The rumoured Fox deal has my curiosity. They have had some decent fights and OK ratings. Poor production value tho.

It would be cool to see the big names perform on FOX. Would be good for the sport.

The free network shows were to drive demand so he could force a bidding war. If the Fox deal proves to be true then Haymon wins. His gamble paid off. All the haters were premature

I'm perfectly free to like things about PBC without being a blind Haymon fanboy and dislike other things without being a hater.

Personally I think Al focuses too much on in house fights and tries to monopolize the sport just like Arum did before him. But I love the fights on networks and being able to talk boxing with my dad, who dropped HBO and SHO years ago.

Or it means they failed but managed to salvage things.
Who has been bidding for PBC? There have been no talks of this or even rumors.

They invested 500mil to get a deal with SHO. And are rumored to be in talks with Fox.

If PBC gets a deal with Fox, similar to what the UFC had then i would have to agree with you. UFC had a deal worth 150mil a year. That is more than twice what HBO and SHO boxing budgets are combined.

But other then that, they failed to deliver.

They can't pay big names on Fox, they need that Showtime money to pay them. Now maybe that changes with this new deal with Fox, and matbe the TV Station is actually paying the PBC and their fighters money this time to put on fights on their channels.

I wouldn't get too excited. It's only 1 or at the most 2 fights a piece for Haymons biggest stars in that time frame

I don't like their platform near as much as Sho and HBO, but I will watch good fights on any channel so this is good news. At least it's on free tv

Thurman-Porter was on CBS. So was the unification fight btx Thurman-Garcia. I suspect they'll keep their partnership with CBS for the occasional larger profile fight on a once or twice a year basis, since CBS is an affiliate of Showtime.
