So nobody wants to talk about PBCs 3 year showtime extension and potential fox deal?

I misspoke there. I know Thurman-Porter was on CBS. And it was huge. But now Garcia-Porter is on SHO.
These were the fights that were supposed to be on CBS.
I hope they return but i doubt they do.

With exception of Showtime from what I've heard the fights they put on on all other channels FS1 Bounce, Spike etc were Time Buys?. From my understanding time buys means the PBC actually pays for the time slot, doesn't receive a payment from the channel for the fights at all. They have to make their money on ticket sales, concessions, merch etc. Granted I'm not a authority on TV Lingo, so I could have left something out, but it's gotta be hard to make money on a Bounce or FS1 card when you have to pay the channel for the time slot, and hold the event in a armory that seats maybe 1-2 thousand people. Especially if you end up having to paper it.

 

I remember the deal being they buy the time slots and get whatever they can from the advertisers.
What happened with ESPN was they didn't pay the promised money.
Spike was going through changes and cut them. Spike is now rebranded.
I think bounce is still going.
