Are you guys annoyed by the gap between Mikey's theoretical opposition and his actual opposition?

I agree, I just don't consider not being willing to fight a fighter the caliber of Garcia until his shoulder surgery has healed as a duck.

i agree, its not a duck, its a situation that was in no way created by mikey, but the ignorant want to still blame mikey for the fight not being made when they want it.

 

Lol I know what you mean infact Golovkin isn’t the best example as I’ve not seen a body else that gets held to the same standards as Golovkin.Been avoided like the plague in his own division and then at the end of his career when the top two finally fight him he gets stick for beating one on points and a draw the other when the consensus was that he won again on points.
Gennady Golovkin won’t have anything to do with Ellie Sechbac though and I’m pretty sure he was barred from Big Bear?reason I bring up Sechbac is it’s him that practically lives at the Gym where Mikey is and imo he’s the reason Mikey has practically called out everyone from Lomo to AJ all to satisfy that snivelling little worm Sechbac who seems to thrive off arse licking Garcia and stirring up crap with his would be opponents,can’t stand the man and to me it looks like Mikey is too much of a nice guy to tell him to do one.

 

One of my bug bears is when Abel Sanchez gos on about fighting him three to four times a year,honestly I don’t know why he says that as he’s never gonna do that but they go on about it like it should happen lol.
If Ward was a duck then it was a smart duck,personally I think at the time with Ward so inactive it made more sense for Ward than it did for Golovkin ie little risk for Ward who was already an all time great and for Golovkin a loss to Ward could have set him back.
Derevyanchenko did bother me and still does given how the IBF are with their strict rules but I do get it to some degree if he felt he couldn’t fight him without training specifically for him nonetheless imo he should of fought him there and then on Cinco de Maya instead of Vanes a decent enough opponent who’d lost to top opponents but after Canelo he’s a bit meh.

 

So true,when Kell Brook was champion at Welterweight I gave him some stick for his opponents after Porter and even when Hearn said nobody wants to fight him I still doubted it but then when he fought Golovkin and then Spence back to back it became apparent that he was avoided and was scared of nobody and for that I gave him massive credit.

Guess what I’m saying re Mikey is that he can call everyone out for the ten years but up until it actually happens you can’t give someone credit for simply saying you would fight so and so.
If though he does fight Spence the bigger man and the bogeyman of the Welterweight division if he does fight him win or lose I’ll give him massive props for it.

 

It’s weird that he lets Seckback record him while he’s watching tv in his living room.

Supposedly there’s a deal for him to fight Lomachenko in 2019. Let’s see if that fight happens.

 

Well that was very telling with Linares I thought because for the past year that was the big fight being talked about not Lomo v Linares but Mikey v Linares and in some ways it’s a shame Linares fought Lomo before Mikey Garcia.I mean I still think Linares has enough to offer even now and losing a competitive fight in the 10th round to Lomo is nothing to be ashamed of.
You do know it’s gets worse as Mikey Garcia even tried a Canelo in trying to tell Linares that if he went ahead and fought Lomo he couldn’t fight Mikey or something like that anyway,Diva stuff to be sure lol.
Mikey and Lomo have been in the same room if that means anything and I’m sure it’ll happen at some stage as it’s a big fight and possibly a lucrative one.
Just hope they not going off the Floyd v Manny template as they don’t have the same financial clout to do that,they just have PFP status and it’s a fight that boxing aficionados would love to see.

 

I reckon he’s such a nice guy he puts up with him,may of detected him getting embarrassed at times over Sechbacs incessant arse licking but he’s too nice to tell him to get lost.
I swear Sechbac would follow him to the toilet if Mikey allowed it lol.

 

Yeah, Mikey thinks he's 10X more popular and a draw than he really is. He's basically walking around like he's some big PPV star when he has yet to fight on a PPV.

 

Apparently he fought Linares with a bad shoulder and without wanting to come off as a complainer it sounded like he was handicapped by it.
Makes sense as I wanna see both of em at their best,giving their best.
2019 would be superb imo for those two

 

early 2019, then i want to see rematches or for mikey to get up to 147, cause i dont want his prime wasted.
i think both these guys are the goods, i want their history to reflect it.
truth be told, i love to watch loma just as much as i do mikey, but loma dont need for me to convince people how good he is, and for some reason too many people cant see in mikey what i see in mikey.
