This could be a record breaking fight for the heavyweight division at the T Mobile arena

I predict approx 1.6 million uk ppv buys

    4 million US ppv buys

These two could pocket 80-100 million each

I'm gonna go with the more realistic option of 'nothing' because the fight won't happen as he will need a few more stiffs before this step up.

Wilder im talking about by the way, not Fury

Hopefully not more than Tony Joshua because that would cause a meltdown in some fans.

    yulaverse mega event

    5 billion global buys

roughly 2.5 million ppv buys on thanos's homeworld of titan

expected 22 trillion sales in andromeda alone

still waiting on the predicted numbers from alpha centauri, will arrive in 2022 (it is 4 light years away after all)

early reports saying galactus will be ringside, so far 873 chinamen have died building his seat

the on-going conflict between the klingons and borg has disrupted telecommunications in the Qo'nos system which could well damage ppv in that area

but all-in-all it looks to be a successful yulaverse event

1.6 million in the U.K. is highly unlikely.

It’s going to be at 4 am and on BT sports which isn’t as well developed and slick as the well oiled sky box office machine.

But it’s going to do well, very well and that’s why I hope to god it happens as it’s a shot in the arm for heavyweight boxing.

Assuming this goes ahead there's months of build-up to come but as it stands I suspect UK ppv figures won't be massive. Mainly because of the time the fight takes place at, but also Fury has never had that big a fanbase here, BT sport have some great marketing but don't have the track record or reach of Sky box office.

Of course if the build-up captures the public imagination then given that boxing is popular right now all of the above obstacles could be overcome. Maybe Frank will put a UK card on regular BT sport beforehand, that could help get the pub crowds engaged and drive a few late night signups?

Let’s face it this era isn’t special.

Fury,Wilder and Joshua all have glaring flaws as far as I can see but the scene is exciting and COULD go down in history if these 3 and the capable bunch of contenders (Povetkin,Ortiz,Parker,Pulev,Whyte,Hughie,Miller etc) continue to fight one another.

Boxing is an entertainment buisness. If the blue riband division is in rude health in respect to producing fan friendly battles, filling football stadia and breaking PPV records then this era goes down in history whether people like it or not.Ali,Frazier and Foreman they aren’t,or Lewis,Bowe and Holyfield but they can bring us a golden era of entertainment if they are willing to continue the current trend we are seeing in 2018 of testing themselves.

The obvious exception of course is AJ-Wilder but we could still see them fight 2 or 3 times if things fall into place and there is a demand for it.No sitting on mandatories, poor defences or protecting undefeated records in the hope of a one off pay day please as that’s what hurt the K2 era.

Remeber Tyson Fury has only ever had 1 PPV which was against Wlad which got 500k. Fury pulled out the rematch after as they struggled to sell tickets for the at the MEN arena stating the reason was ankle injury (despite been video on the drink up the following week later jumping up and down at the Euros).

Although T.Fury popularity has increased since he has been inactive fighting due to him being very vocal on social media. T.Fury will fighting a guy who isn't a household name in his own country amd never has had a PPV fight before.

Those number are obviously ridiculous and I think this thread is simply a troll attempt to show that this fight isn't as big as some hope.

It being in the US it will dampen the UK PPV numbers to some degree. Over a million UK Sky customers paid the PPV for Mayweather/Pac and Mayweather/McGregor and Mayweather/Hatton but let's be honest neither Fury or Wilder are even in the same ballpark as those fighters, no way it gets close to 1 million UK buys.

In the US it would generate more but it won't be doing huge numbers either. Neither are proven PPV draws, this would be their PPV debut, nobody goes from Wilder and Fury's level in the US and suddenly becomes a huge draw.

Optimistically maybe it does 400K in the US and 750K in the UK. So that's about $52 mill in revenue which would be fantastic if it happened. But these are my most optimistic numbers it could do a whole lot worse.

I think the UK number will be pretty strong no matter what as the UK appetite for boxing is at a high think at worst it does 500K. But the US numbers is where it's a real gamble and it could easily fail like GGG/Lemieux or Ward/Kovalev. It's not unreasonable that it does 200K or less. Those kind of numbers would only see $24 mill in revenue, which is all honesty is still a ton of money when you compare what these guys generate normally but would probably see the network take a hit if the guarantees for the purses are as high as some have suggested.

With 500.000 PPV buys in the US at 60$ and 500.000 PPV buys in the UK at 20£ and the gate of approximately 20 million dollars it would generate at least 60 million dollars, those are realistic numbers and the fight would generate more than the AJ vs Wlad fight which generated approximately 53 million dollars.

Fury will not get anywhere near 1 million UK buys.

He's fighting on a Frank Warren undercard!
