The feared boogeyman of the division is still at large.

Personally outside of Wilder i dont see anyone who can handle this beast.

Hopefully that KO hasn't took too much out of him.

I re-watched highlights other day. If you re-watch the first right hand Wilder downed him with, it would have left a lot of HW's shaking on floor, he took it alright to say its a Wilder shot.

I hope he can come back cos he's a nightmare for anyone

Ortiz is dangerous but he's hardly invincible as Wilder proved. I'd favour Joshua to KO him, I think Povetkin too would probably beat him, though that's a very competitive fight.

I'd favour Ortiz over Whyte and Parker but think they are hardly guaranteed victories. Ortiz at his age could become very beatable over night. Hopefully Ortiz has another meaningful fight soon to see what he has left.

His carer handles him every night when its time to take his teeth out and have his poo-bowl emptied before being tucked in.

Call me a Hearn employee or what ever but Joshua handles Ortiz alot easier than Wilder made it look. Are you going to remind me that Hearn made sure Ortiz and Joshua didnt meet, yes thats how it looked to me also. But thats not a tactic thats new to the sport, most promoters have done it with thier stars at some point, Hearn keeping Ortiz away from his star after 17 or 18 pro fights isnt any worse than Finkel keeping Wilder away from Klitchko after 33 fights and it isnt as bad as Oscar telling Canelo to hand his belt to Golovkin after much smack talk.

So Joshua beats Ortiz, maybe Fury does and based on some of Ortiz more recent performancies suggest hes not a shoe in to beat the rest of the top 10. I do think those who have a fair level of technical ability and a decent height and reach advantage over him can keep him at the end of a jab in reletive safety at this stage in Ortiz career where he still has talent but hes certainly not as sharp or nimble footed as he once was.

    I'd certainly back:

    AJ to stop Ortiz
Uysk to school Ortiz over 12 rounds

Might be able to beat Ortiz:

Povetkin, Parker and Whyte all of whom have better fight records than Ortiz.

If Dimitrenko had a better engine he too would have dealt with jennings in a similar fashion to what Ortiz did.

It really put's Ortiz's bogeyman status into perspective.

If Fury is in shape he would decision Ortiz. Joshua's lack of head movement and sloppy technique make this a 50/50 fight for Joshua. If Joshua polished up his technique and developed a short walking hook like Foreman used to use he'd be a terror for anyone in division.

Whyte if he comes in around 230-235 also has a chance against Ortiz, but at 245+ Ortiz crushes him.

AJ`s guard and reach would be too much for Ortiz, it would be like the Parker except Parker was faster and Ortiz would go towards AJ which would be suicide, AJ`s hand speed and combo`s are far quicker than the punches Ortiz was throwing vs Wilder.

    There's been some mistake
    I mean really please,
You're saying that someone defeated Ortiz?

    Well that cannot be,
    It just isn't so,
This man is invulnerable to any foe,

    He's got Cuban skills
    And that southpaw stance
His movement is silky his feet seem to dance,

    Ok he was only
    Second best in his state,
But thats only because his progress was late,

    The boogeyman must
    With respect be treated,
Aside from Deontay he's still undefeated,

    So although he's no record,
And he's long due his pension,
Defeat and Ortiz we'll never mention
