I believe Danny Swift Garcia will win and I have thought so for a long time. I think Shawn Showtime Porter is a great fighter but ready made to order for a vicious counter puncher like DSG. I noticed that Team Porter have brought in Barry Hunter and Sugar Shane Mosley to help in their fight preparations which I think hints a bit at desperation.
Porter for me, he has fought the stiffer tests at 147, he has been calling for this fight for years and he is somewhat still hungry. Garcia ain’t been hungry since his 140 days.
Al haymon will pay the judges to make it a draw so that way both fighters can carry on fighting other people without their stocks falling.
Well Porter fought Brook, Thurman and now Garcia. He has chased Garcia up to a year now, he wanted to fight Danny in a final eliminator and Danny only took the fight when the title was on the line.
DG is the better pure boxer and as long as he can keep Porter at range using his jab he should be able to win enough rounds. Porter is bigger, seems stronger, and has a way of smothering his opponents work. If he manages to get around DG's jab I can see porter beating him on the inside against the ropes.
I think Garcia is the better fighter overall, Porter has to win on strength and toughness. Garcia by UD.
