It was "152" first of all, and that was all innuendo coming from Uncle Bobby and the group of pathological liars known as Top Rank Boxing. There was no official second day weigh in... But Linares weighed 152 pounds Saturday after rehydrating from his 134.6 pounds the day before at the weigh-in, while Lomachenko weighed only 138, according to Top Rank President Todd duBoef. http://www.latimes.com/sports/boxing/la-sp-lomachenko-linares-20180512-story.html Have been told Linares has rehydrated to 152 pounds tonight. This content is protected Linares was bigger, nobody knows by how much. What we do know is that both men started at 126, and Chenko fought at 132 six years ago as an amateur.
Well there you go, Linares is the bigger man, yet a naturally smaller man in Loma knocked him out. Thanks for wasting your time for nothing. And injured
If you really struggle to see the size difference, you really are dense. Linares from has much more capability to put on size due to the width of his shoulders, and scale of his frame. Loma is very compact what means he can pack alot of muscle for his weight, but only to a certain weight.
Nah, Canelo cuts way more than GGG . They about the same really, GGG is just taller where as Canelo is naturally stockier...
I expected as much. It looks better on Loma to point out Linares was bigger , but it looks bad on Golovkin to point put Canelo is naturally the smaller man. Its all agenda on here in't
They are much bigger GGG and Canelo, of course the 7lb is going to be bigger for little Loma and Linares.. I'm just back from a ban, so i'm swerving agenda **** for a while... But naturally its obvious there is more size difference between Linares Lomo than GGG Canelo
He’s talking about Linares dummy. Obviously Lomachenko is heavy handed, what other fighters score one punch knockouts in their first championship fight at 130 and 135? The problem is you, the punches don’t look hard to you because you don’t know anything about boxing.
I’ve known this guy for a long time, he had always been a Lomachenko hater talking about “He has nothing special”, “He can’t punch” etc. etc. the guy is a fruit loop, he’s posted videos of himself getting bashed by a girl in sparring, he admitted to killing a dog because it annoyed him, he posted for years as a bisexual loser alt on another forum. Just ignore him.
I disagree, he doesn't choose to fight offensively to be entertaining. His style allows him to have the success he has because of his offense. Pot shotting off the back foot won't bring him the same success. He dictates his fights, watch the Salido fight and you'll see him fighting off the back foot during a lot of the fight. Even in the Linares fight when Linares went in and threw combinations he got some good shots in. However when Loma crowds him, there isn't much Linares can do. His side to side shuffle also consists of leaning on his opponents to prevent them from hitting back, preventing counters and putting him in a favorable position to throw a punch before they can locate him and get back into an upright stance. Now watch this first video and you'll see his most powerful tool is taking away the opponent's vision. This would be much harder to do off the back foot. He is better going forwards than backwards because he sets traps and has a set up for every scenario. This content is protected
There's a few factors in this. Firstly, of course, Linares himself is a very good boxer. Sure he's got his shortcomings, but the man CAN box, and is a difficult person to dominate boxing wise. Secondly, and I say this as a Loma fan, he's somewhat overrated. Don't get me wrong - skillwise, he's one of the best I've seen but he's got some physical shortcomings which I think is sometimes overlooked and kinda put him at a disadvantage, especially heading into these higher weight classes. He's got short arms which means that he's always in a position to get hit by his opponent without them necessarily putting themselves at risk, his handspeed - whilst very good putting punches together, it's not great at just exploding with single shots in a way that say Floyd is. And finally his power, again, decent but not exceptional. So a lot of these fights he has to win on pure skill which is NOT easy to do especially against other good boxers who are bigger than him, stronger, hit harder and perhaps are even faster than he is (e.g. Linares).
