Sonny Liston vs Tim Witherspoon

Liston likely by decision but a stoppage isn't completely and utterly out of the question even if unlikely. I think he'd be stifled quite a bit like he was by the Pinklon Thomas jab. He laid back throwing the odd pot shot and i can see similar occurring with less risks taken throwing the odd big one due to Liston's extra power and better right hand. Liston's jab would carry the fight and his offensive arsenal would keep Witherspoon in check.

 

Liston,he is better at everything.

Everything means everything. I already showed you Witherspoon had faster hands, better defense, was better on a counter, and was taller.

If you want to get technical, he was far less likely to foul, and never quit in a fight either. That's Liston's bag.

 

Liston would be rough and mean in this ,he'd be snapping his jab in to spoons face and cracking to the body .Spoons no blow over but Liston does More better. Witherspoon survive s but take's a battering to lose a decision.
