Bowe didnt take on some of the right challenges at the right times because he was not mentally or physically prepared to be the best he could be and knew he would likely lose fights.

Wilder doesnt take on the challenges because he isnt very good and knows he would likely lose fights.

Wilder would have easily knocked out Lewis in the early 90`s (pre-Manny Steward) Bowe would have struggled a lot more even if he fought Lewis at that point because he took so much more punishment than Wilder does.

To be fair, Dustin Nichols is a name that carries weight.

Ortiz was better than Tubbs, Golota, Dokes, Thomas, Cooper, Biggs and Seldon at the stage they were at in their careers when Bowe beat them, I feel Wilder would have beaten Holy the form Holy was in when Bowe beat him if he fought as open as he did in that bout, no way could he take that amount of punches from Wilder.

That's your opinion and I think you're wrong.

You say he couldn't take that many punches from Wilder? Wilder isn't a beat you up grind you down kind of fighter, he's an ambush you with one big punch then go for a kill type. That wouldn't work against Holyfield who is too durable and would recover and come back stronger like he did in round 10 in the first Bowe fight.

Sure maybe Wilder adopts his earlier more aggressive style he used vs Duhaupas and Molina but that would just expose his chin and he's learned not to fight that way to protect his chin. A Molina left hook had Wilder on unsteady legs, Molina a guy that was KOed in 1 by Arreola. There are levels and Wilder isn't on Holyfield's Level.

So no your premise is flawed because Wilder wouldn't stand and trade with Evander like Bowe did, he wouldn't have the same opportunities to land in such volume because he's more risk adverse than Bowe.

As for Ortiz when did beating Jennings mean a fighter could be favoured over more tried and tested fighters? Golota retired Bowe despite losing, he also arguably beat Ruiz and Byrd when he had a bad shoulder and no longer had his once vaunted jab. Ortiz is a good fighter but he hasn't faced enough top opposition to know for sure he'd beat someone like Golota. Ortiz/Golota is a 50/50 fight for me, I'd favour Golota if he didn't implode mentally which is could do.

I'd fancy the Golota that beat the snot out of Bowe to do the same to Ortiz, and then he'd do Wilder as an encore.

Wilder`s right hands are always as powerful as the one Bowe threw to knock out Holy in their third fight, he wouldn`t have to land that many to knock Holy out, his power is insane.

Did you see what Lewis`s straight right did when he came across the wide open Golota?! Ortiz was far better defensively than Golota.

bowe beat a prime and unbeaten undisputed Heavyweight Champion in Evander Holyfield. and went 2-1 in a trilogy against one of the greatest fighters of all time.
comparing wilders Career to bowes is simply hilarious. bowe was on a totally different Level.

Holyfield was too small in his first fight vs Bowe, in his second fight with Riddick his movement was better and Bowe was befuddled, Holy wasn`t rated as high in their third fight and was an underdog, Bowe struggled again but his power seem him through.
