    Not really true.

Maidana caught him clean a few times, and really hurt him late on, but Khan was still able to get the win over the 12.

Khan has always been far too open defensively because he 'over values' his own speed.

A clear indication of Khan's defence being the issue is how similar the KOs are.....
    They're all from counters.

I've not seen Khan get KOd when he's not the aggressor in that engagement.

Well he's right, him losing now - past his prime doesn't have much effect on his past legacy. But his legacy is not as great as he thinks it is.

Counter punches are always more devastating because you`re not ready, Khan seems very vulnerable to these blows.

His legacy as a pro is based on the fact he beat a undefeated Maidana (Robbed in Germany) more convincingly than Mayweather beat an older Maidana.....

But on the flipside, every other opponent they shared was pretty much washed up when they fought Khan after Floyd.

He looked better than ever in his last fight, he got his first KO in years, what do you mean, surely you don`t think he could have an elite light middle like Canelo when he was younger!

You`re not trying to put Amir in Floyd`s class are you?! Floyd would have toyed with Khan!

Hence his defence is way too open when he's the aggressor.

You disagreed with my first point in this thread.....Then when trying to explain why you disagreed, you made the same point I did!

Now when I claim that Khan's legacy as a pro is pretty much based on beating 1 of the opposition he shared with Floyd in a 'more convincing' fashion, i'm comparing him to Floyd?

    I'm doing the opposite buddy.....

    I'd be all for a Khan-Garcia 2.

Indeed. Khan's legacy is that of the having the most fragile mandible among beltholders in the 21st century, if not all time!

A legacy of mediocrity is nothing to brag about. Hes a silver medalist and world champion but he has never made a real impact on the sport other than when his head hits the canvas.

That's right. His legacy as a glass jawed ******* will still be intact!

I think he had the best potential of anyone but his problem was he didn't have a gameplan. His speed was so great, if he only had the gameplan style of a guy like Hopkins it would be hard to beat him. But he wins so easily that in a way it hurt him.

Well, if he was trying to say that his reputation can only go up from here on, I agree wholeheartedly. Should he loose he’ll just stay where he is but there won’t be a way forward for him.

Otherwise, I find it difficult to understand what legacy he talks about.
