Porter Vs Garcia

I'm leaning towards a Garcia decision. Both guys have solid chins so I don't see a KO.

Want Porter to win though!

 

Porter is a bad style for Danny in my view. But Danny should find a home for that big left hook. Just will he do it enough to win a decision or score a big KO? I don't think so. Either way a convincing winner deserves big credit in this fight.

 

It took Danny 10 rounds to find a big punch to stop Rios, I don’t see why Porter won’t be able to pick up rounds and get a decision. People still think Danny is a puncher at 147? To me his power peaked at 140.

Too inactive with output, too slow of feet, too little head movement these days for me to think it's equal both ways.

 

Garcia by decision, you need to be a boxer or boxer-puncher to beat Danny and Porter ain't that.

 

I have a feeling Garcia is gonna win pretty easily.
Porter's style is played out.

 

Well his biggest wins are against Matthysse and Khan, a boxer-puncher and a boxer. He won very decisive fights against true boxers Judah and Paulie. His questionable victories and poorer performances were against Herrera and Peterson who bulldogged forward when they had their success.

I actually respectfully don't agree with you at all in that assessment. Hey, I'm picking Porter but it is a "50/50" sort of fight. I could well be wrong, lets see. Garcia doesn't throw enough volume these days and I don't think Porter is going to sit in range for the left hook to land over and over within the same rounds to win more than 6 of them.

 

I can see Porter frustrating the hell outta Garcia. Garcia can get visibly frustrated in the ring. Porters style is smothering and rough. He has stamina for days, while Garcia slows in the later part of fights. Like you said, if Garcia can land that left hook early and often, he can soften Porter up and finish him in the later rounds. That being said. I see Porter stopping Garcia late. Around 9-10. Either way, this is a good fight.

 

Picking Garcia by KO but closer to the fight we get I like Porter by decision but gonna stick with Danny in this one and see what happens. Big fight.

You got me with Peterson but he was huge at the weight, he was like 160 against Danny on fight night. I believe Peterson's size gave him issues. Porter is short with shorter reach, I think Danny will handle him.
I had Herrera outboxing him and we all know why Khan lost that fight lol.
