Yes. Early years, if Tyson got hit, he just got mad. Later years everybody dropped him. Tua never wobbled against Ike B. Against Rahim he got put on his butt. Carlos Baldomir was supposed to have a head that a baseball bat couldnt crack per commentators, of all his losses it didnt take a bat, just Canelo.
If GGG got stopped it would be a tszyu type. Not a ko punch but a accumulation from a younger fresher fighter. Tszyu had a great chin but did have holes in his D just like GGG. He can be hit.
Canelo could drop him with a liver shot. However GGG was very aware of that punch and avoided it in the first fight. I doubt GGG will open himself up for the left hook this time around either.
Yes of course he can but he doesn’t get enough credit for his defense, sure he takes shots but with his chin tucked down he often takes em on the head and not only that you get the feeling with Golovkin that he knows what he can take and what he doesn’t fancy. As an example he gave Lemieux,Jacobs and Canelo enough respect to suggest he doesn’t wanna find out if his chin can take that power.
Lol Ginger Puff looks live for first three or four rounds but after that he gasses out and appears to push his punches somewhat. I always thought someone like a Charlo could possibly drop him before he ends his career.
True enough,I’m convinced Vanes had him hurt there which some have even suggested that his chin has weakened from that Canelo fight? Oddly enough imo it was Vanes hurting Golovkin early on that ultimately spelled his own demise, think Golovkin would of looked to carry Vanes for a while until a hurt Golovkin thought sod this I’m gonna get him outta here lol.
They do and I feel the same about Canelo in that it would be a real shock just to see him go down from a punch to that huge head of his.
Well since your post, Canelo landed savage shots to GGG`s body in their rematch and he still didn`t go down.
His defense is vastly underestimated, his judgement of distance is amazing, he uses his jab to control his opponents aproach.
He could get knocked down in a “soft” kinda way, like Hagler against Roldan or his gloves touching the canvas. A hard KD? I doubt it.
