What do u mean FMJ gave up 15lbs at 154?? I suspect FMJ as a mature & active WW probably walked around at about 155lbs between fights..

Small against Oscar yes but Oscar had fought what?? Once in 3 years?? Too busy at the blue oyster getting fisted by George Michael...

Well jheez can he at least try, he is probably gunna get two belts. If he beats Mikey he is the undisputed champ.

Why are fans scared to see their favourite fighters lose? P.S I wanted to see if Loma could beat Berchelt I never got a chance to see that. So if he isn’t gunna fight Berchelt then I gotta hope he is gunna fight Mikey or he won’t have any A level names on his resume (Rigo was too small to be considered A level at 126, although Loma dominated him excellently)

I think he better than good and a level below great, if he beats Mikey and becomes undisputed you gotta start thinking about putting him into that great category. We don’t have one great fighter in this era imo, the last to go was Ward.

The closest we have are Crawford, Loma, and Usyk, of course they all have things to prove at their new weight divisions which will tell us if they are great or just really good fighters.

If you don't know now mate you will never know. Look at his record for how many fights he's had and who he's fought at that early stage of his career. He is obviously a very special talent, and he sits rightfully as most peoples p4p no1 currently !

Shows you how special Loma, that he is too small for Lightweight yet he still KO'd the best fighter there.

He's chasing greatness, and will try to grow into the weight. But I think he should have a couple more at lightweight, then move back down to super feather/ feather.

It's not idiotic to point out objective measures such as height and reach, which are both important when it comes to the extent a fighter can move up the divisions. I take your point re: frames differ independent of height, but that's just a subjective opinion based on photos and watching fights on TV. We can't really make that call until a boxer makes the jump in weight.

I think he can be effective at 140, although that's not likely to be his best division. But that can be said of a lot of boxers who moved up in weight; they don't always end up in their best division but in the category which best serves their career...

Never by a body shot. Many times? 3 in 47 fights is hardly many is it?? & it's not like Loma is a big puncher or had any significant size advantage...

This was an excellent win. Linares is vulnerable but highly skilled. Go read up on what Rocky Juarez or what Oscar Larios say about him...

He can be the best at 135 I think, though I do think he's going to have a really tough time of it.

This is why I never defend a fighter beyond what I think he deserves. Once you let your emotions in, you become irrational. Then you always on the defense even when you shouldn’t be.
