Don't get me wrong Loma is a great talent. And I have him p4p #2. I enjoy watching him fight, he's aggressive, takes risks and will fight anybody.

That said, the fans and the media need to just calm the **** down. He's easily got to be the most hyped fighter since DLH. Bob Arum called this guy the greatest since Ali. STFU Bob, come on, just sit your old ass down.

Loma has won 3 world titles in what 11 or 12 fights? I know that's fast. And it's cool and all, but quit acting like he just knocked out Chavez Sr. Loma is 30 years old, when do you guys expect him to make his mark? When he's 37?

The resume is good. It's good, but people act like he's lining up ATG's and chopping them down like trees.

He's beaten guys like Russell Jr., Walters, Linares, Sosa, Marriaga. These are some good fighters, nothing super special. The problem for Loma is nobody from 126-135 besides Garcia is elite level and I think Garcia is overrated anyways. So he may not have the opposition to do it against.

I don't rate the Rigo win. Too old and too small.

Also I want to see him beat a pressure fighter. He lost to Salido which I give a pass for because it was his 2nd fight. But let's see how he handles a solid pressure fighter. He lacks power I want to see if he can handle the pressure. So let's see it happen.

Also, you would think that he's been knocking out legends with his hype. Remember when Pacquiao stopped Barrera in 2003? He barely even cracked the p4p lists after that. What if Loma stopped a 29 year old Barrera? He'd shoot up to #1 p4p before you could blink. Sheeeeeiiitttt, if Loma stopped that version of MAB he'd been called the 2nd coming of the Messiah. Like Jesus in the flesh.

So Loma is talented and a great fighter and all, but for the love of God the media please just calm down. I can't tune into a Loma fight anymore without everybody losing their minds over everything he does. Sometimes I feel like I want to mute the commentary.

    zzzzzz hater

He's P4P number 1 on 95% of peoples lists. he has unreal skills, is the Greatest amateur ever, and is breaking record after record in the pros,is a 3 weight world champion and has a solid resume already. If you can't get excited about Lomachenko, then you can't excited about anyone!

I just said that I like watching Loma fight and I rate him #2 p4p.

I don't like all the ridiculous hype. It's out of control. You guys act like he's whipped Pernell Whitaker.

The hype is justified. Lomachenko has repeatedly demonstrated otherworldly skills and talent. Quite simply, NO ONE is as offensive-minded and defensively-responsible as Lomachenko is.

Now the resume has to match the hype and it's close so far. The scalps on his resume are all good — Rigondeaux was a fearsome, elite P4Per. Linares was bigger and has elite boxing skills w/ elite speed. And he was ducked by Mikey.

Well I was personally blown away with how he clowned Rigo.

Linares was a much, much tougher fight, and I was blown away by how much weight Loma could give away and still win against a top flight guy.

I'm just happy he's fighting and want him to carry on. I agree his resume is short for all the ATG hype ... but, the eye test tells me I am watching the real deal here.

    Relax how?
Where are these crazy articles that go overboard?

Bob calls everyone the best thing since Ali.

There will always be a few crazy fanboys on any forum.

With Loma it is actually said that not enough people see him fight. That he is not known enough. One of the best 3 in the world, yet can't headline a PPV.

I don't think what Lomachenko has done so far as far as resume, accomplishments go is overrated because all those things are VERY impressive. He gets overrated sometimes on h2h basis I feel though, not at 126-130 but 135 up. Trust me, he'll be struggling with a lot of fighters in these weight classes.

Happens often, people get overly excited, hype the guy up to be a god and then when he shows he's human, well into the trash heap you go.

I like watching him fight. I don’t get excited about his fights. I will when he fights the top guys in whatever division he settles.

You've made some decent points. I just want to speak to this part.

I think western fans and boxing media were slow to rate Pacquiao for a few reasons. Firstly, they wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke or just a styles problem for Barrera. Secondly, I think there was a concern that Pacquiao would do what many Asian fighters used to do. Which is to win the title on the road, then defend it only at home or other Asian countries. See Saman Sorjaturong's career after he toppled Humberto Gonzalez. So initially, there was a feeling that we might not see much of him again, but HBO really liked him.

    Tim and Tessitore?
That´s your go to? That's like me complaining about Jimp "according to compubox" Lampley.

What else is there? Besides a horrible commentating crew on ESPN. (Loma being ESPN's biggest draw atm)
