Because I have to listen to ignorant BS. As well as deal with impressionable fans who consume this hyperbole.

Did Manny's reputation ever recover after his loss to Rustico Torrecampo do you think? Touch and go if that disqualifies him from ATG status....

Just because it's hyped doesn't mean it's the single best exciting athlete in boxing. He's fun to watch too.

Well...let them consume it. You don't have to listen or read anything you don't choose to.

Hate a fighter because they are ass holes, or some criminal POS. Hate them because they have fans?

Manny redeemed himself by fighting and beating all styles.

When has Loma beaten a top pressure fighter?

Cool. It's a battle, I can admit. Some fans are annoying as hell. But they can be easily ignored.

How dare you, you undermine my post, and pick perhaps my favorite active fighter to do it with. I have a hard time arguing against that, based on resume, Usyk has an argument.

The only valid point i think you make is the wanting to see him face another pressure fighter one.

We all know hed school salido on the rematch but salidos old and retired, give me a similiar style fighter and lets put it to bed

But here's the thing. You complain about fans of Loma being hyperbolic and yet you are exactly the same about his loss to Salido.

i think his hype is a bit much, but not out of the ordinary. pac had his share of fans overating him cause hes pinoy, floyd had his black defenders, and loma has his. when i first suggested mikey would beat loma, some posters nearly lost their mind, now at least theyre open to the possibility.

Russell Jr. is a real good win at 126. Martinez is an ok win at 130. Sosa is a solid win at 130. Walters is a mediocre win win at 130. He drew with Sosa, and then sat on the shelf for a year. Marriaga, and Rigondeaux were meaningless wins at 130. Marriaga, because he was coming off of a war that he lost at featherweight his previous fight, and Rigondeaux because he was moving up two weights and had fought like three rounds in two years. Either guys accomplishments at the lower weights brought nothing to the table without either guy beating a top 10 guy at 130 before facing Lomachenko. Linares is a good win at 135. For Lomachenko to only have 18 fights since he left the amateurs, and be 17-1, that is a pretty good resume. Most guys over here aren't fighting that level of opponent at 20 - 25 fights, and most guys if put in with a Salido equivalent in their eighth pro fight would lose as well.

There are some Lomasexuals that overrate him, but for the most part Lomachenko gets his just dues.

He is justifiably at the top opf the P4P rankings, arguably #1. He is a joy to watch and has a style that will be an issue for most fighters.

My biggest complaint about him was his reluctance to unify at SFW and fight the top dog there in Berchelt. I feel he could have somewhat redeemed himself for losing to Salido if he would have fought and beat Miguel Berchelt.

I said I gave him a pass for his loss to Salido. But at this point I have serious questions about his ability to handle a top level pressure fighter.

You know I don't think Pacquiao was all that hyped until around the time he beat Diaz. At that point he was a 5 weight champion and there was this hype about, well how high can he climb in weight. Like I said he KO'ed Barrera and then could barely even crack the top 10 p4p. If Loma did that he would have been treated like Jesus walking on water.

After DLH, Hatton and Cotto fights, Pacquiao was a ridiculously hyped fighter. But you could say being a former Flyweight Champion knocking out Cotto, DLH and Hatton it wasn't necessarily hype, but an appreciation for something that had never been seen before in boxing.

There was a Pinoy guy years back called "PacDbest" who predicted that Pacquiao would knockout Hatton, DLH and Cotto after Pacquiao had beaten Marquez and Diaz. He made threads regularly about it that Pac would ascend through the weights and beat all the top 140 and 147 pounders. Everybody laughed at him and he was eventually banned for trolling. The thing is he didn't actually troll. All he said was Pac KO's Hatton and Cotto. The mods and amdin's ruled that saying Pac will KO Cotto was trolling and excessive hype of a fighter and he was banned. It turned that PacDbest predicted everything.

Pacquiao sent Cotto to the ICU. He got his ass kicked so horribly bad by Manny that Cotto's own dad got into the hospital bed with him to try and comfort him. Meanwhile Hatton was laying flat on his back in the middle of the ring, hyperventilating and trying to get enough oxygen to his brain so that did not die.
