I found it accidently a few years back and put links up on here...

Ron Richards, Henneberry, Ambrose Palmer, ARCHIE MOORE when he fought there...

late 30s & 40s... if I remember right it was a Movie or Aussie Film & TV Collection Archive or something.

someone hear is bound to know it or have saved it. my computer skills are still very limited and especially back then... but it will be online somehow.

Same with a South African one I put up.

the POINT is though. WHEN the Filming was Done RIGHT, the Fighters Look Just as you would expect them to be!

Tons of modern elites and ATGs get stuff "technically wrong". Not just in boxing, but in many sports.

Genetic talent and unbelievable hours of practice trump right on paper every time. After so much practice your know your body, and you'll do what works best for you, often trying to correct these things can be more detremental.

    Also here's more footage.

Greb seems to have trouble doing a lot of the basic exercises a lot of the other boxers did. He was obviously an odd one even in his era, but it worked.

It says Greb Vs Mickey Walker, so I think this is at the point where he was near the end of his career, and had well over 200 fights. I can't help wonder if he had some brain damage by that point, though being blind in one eye may have also been an issue.

You can see he has unusual natural speed, and his awkward off balance movements would be a nightmare (similar to how Fury's were), combine with an iron chin, and freakish stamina. . . .

And we have plenty of footage of him ... can a 1 - 0 cruiserweight from today beat him ?

You see the Dempsey sparring footage. It looks as strange as Greb. We also have actual fight film of him. Are you saying any beginner cruiserweight from today crushed that Dempsey ?

What did *Greb* understand the purpose of shadow boxing to be?

That's the question we should be asking before we decide what the goofy moves he's doing are supposed to show.

Does anybody have training or boxing manuals from Greb's era that would explain why they move strangely in shadow boxing?

I couldn't care what Greb looks like. It was always remarked that he was awkward and not aesthetically pleasing.
It's pretty obvious though even without fight footage that he was a helluva fighter just going off who he beat who we have on film.
He was simply a freak of nature who could throw numerous punches from every angle for 3 minutes of every round for the full duration of the fight.
How some on here are drawing conclusions of his prowess on the basis of a 30 second piece of film is beyond belief.

How did you get back in? You seem to know a lot more about computers and technology than you do boxing ….

It looks like he's just loosening up to me. Just getting some blood to his muscles before training.

    No mate, just completely banned.

@surfinghb this is a different account. I don't have a 7 at the end of the username on this one. Cmon mods. Was it the harmless fun towards Reznick?

This video is of Pat, KoolKevin and myself's new prodigy, boxing journalist Danny Flexen. We are hoping to have him on track to defeat more Hall of Famer's than Mr Harry Greb.

I've edited the footage with a black & white filter and sent it to @reznick , who had this to say from the corner of a smokey run down tavern in upstate New York:

"Tremendous footwork akin to a young Willie Pep. The fluency of the punches and deceiving nature of the speed would have you mistaking this for a Ray Arcel fighter. The way he puts his chin in the air after a 1-2 to assert his physical dominance is a real lost art in today's game".
