Maybe he's not. A comeback fight in December would help build for a PPV in May if he loses to GGG. Better than going straight into a May PPV after a loss.
It’s one of my pet hates actually. To be fair he’s only stating he’s gonna fight again this year, what gets me is how Anthony Joshua can turn around and talk about fighting Wilder after Povetkin and he kept doing when he was to face Parker. I mean how can AJ know that he can get past someone as dangerous as Povetkin unless he has the same ref that did Parker fight wehere he wouldn’t let any close in work and even told one to calm down after throwing a punch.
Oh he’s a dream to watch and unlike an Andre Ward who could be hard to watch,Canelo is easy on the eye, always exciting and hardly ever clinches. His skill level is top drawer n all, those body, head combinations are beaut and when he did them at Golovkin he couldn’t miss, his problem the way I see it is he needs to do more in between the flash combos though he is working on it I think as he did use the jab more against Golovkin. Even so I still fancy Golovkin to get it done this time, looks the bigger man this time against a smaller Canelo whose punches may not have much effect on GGG. Can not wait for the biggest fight in boxing,so many pro boxers have said they were awe about Canelo and Golovkins skill levels and seeing how it panned out,Very technical with two good examples of ring generalship.Quietley hoping The rematch is gonna be even better as these grudges are real and I don’t expect either to choke on the night.
It is something I never liked. I want to hear them say like Hagler would say I am focusing only on Hearns or Duran and I am not looking past them. Joshua has a tough fight maybe with Povetkin. Actually going a few rounds would be good for him and it might teach him something.
