Warren: DAZN had the biggest budget for all of 5 mins

The explosion of sports streaming is doing boxing a great service. ESPN and Dizzy, Damzel or whatever will have to swallow a hefty multi-million dollar loss for a few years upon building subscription base, but they'll prevail and ppl. will cancel TV subscription before long. I don't have television and doing fine watching HBO Go, Netflix, Eurosport, Amazon and local channels online. Sports streaming is the future.

 

Eddie doesn't have a billion dollars.

He has a small fraction of that dripped to him if he performs well.

And so far he's had zero major signings and zero US stars.

Nobody outside hardcore boxing circles cares about Usyk

 

I know it probably secures him some coverage he wouldn't otherwise get, but maybe Frank would be better off not mentioning Eddie Hearn or his activities and concentrating on pushing his own fighters.

He just winds up sounding bitter and twisted when there's a lot going right for Frank at the moment, Warrington Frampton, Fury Wilder, some promising young fighters etc. I'd sooner hear about those than see Frank grimacing as he discussed Matchroom.

 

Signing Usyk and Bivol are big signings if you are a boxing fan. The only signings he could make that a casual would know are Pacquiao or Canelo, maybe GGG. No one else in boxing is a actual star or household name to people who don't follow the sport.

 

That's what you call a hater. Always talking about someone else's business and always looking to criticise no matter what.

 

And do you have a good word to say about Warren, then? Or....

 

He was British boxing in his day, basically kept it going and is a legend. But he is also every name people call Hearn, he is a promoter they are all the same. Warren is no different, and has done the same things people hate Hearn for a million times over in all his years. In 25 years someone new and young will come along and take over from Hearn the same as Hearn has done to Warren.

 

Does this dude ever not talk about Hearn?

If you scroll through all the YouTube interviews over the past month or so you'll find that your bumboy Hearn has had a hell of a lot more to say about Wilder-Fury than OG Frank. Your bumboy is going to be on TV later throughout the night on the Khan card. Go and get your **** and tissues ready and log off you freak.

 

You are to Warren what all the Hearn fanboys are to him, hilarious.

 

Look at my post history. I'm one of Warren's biggest critics. I think he is awful when it comes to reliability. I would never spend money on a ticket for a Warren promoted show more than a week before fight night because so many of his shows get canned.

 

You also regularly sing his praises and refer to him as a legend, read more than a few posts by you to that affect in the last 6 months. Not saying you've never been critical of Warren, just that posts I remember from you talking about Frank are usually in the positive variety.

 

Cutthroat is one of the few unbiased posters on here, stop badgering him.

 

Who said anything about superstars or casuals?

Eddie doesn't have to sign a Conor McGregor but there are plenty of industry famous boxers who's signings would drum excitement that would travel outside the boxing world... Danny, Mikey, Charlo bros, Spence, Thurman, Wilder, Fury etc. Forget domestic stars. Eddie's had next to no major signings. I'd like to see him succeed because it's good for boxing but his slimy weasel tactics sour the industry.

Now ask yourself why nobody is signing with Hearn / DAZN

Pointing out the beta male tendencies of you backroom boys has nothing to do with being or not being a fan of Frank Warren. I can call out Eddie & AJ's ducking tactics all day but that doesn't mean I'm a Wilder die hard. You people think in binaries. It's false equivalency.

I'm speaking for myself here ofc. I haven't read enough of @CutThroatFade 's posts to know his opinion on Warren.
