You do know Haymon took years to sign all those people right? I mean his first fighter was like Robert Guerrero, don't see how the fighters Hearn has signed Jacobs & Miller being popular MW & HW's, Bivol & Usyk etc are any worse before the platform is even launched then the years it took Haymon to sign his stable given who Al started with.

Of course Frank's a legend. Look at who he's worked with. Look at the fights he's put on. In Britain alone: Naz, Benn, Calzaghe, Hatton... he's a boxing legend and deserves respect. He's 66 year old and a promotional underdog against Hearn but he's still fighting on and working hard everyday. Would love to have a few whiskys with Frank to talk boxing.

he is a legend and the way he fights back from setbacks is admirable. we all thought he was finished when eddie got the sky machine behind him and the jackpot in AJ but he's kept ticking over.

Streaming is the future, sure. Right new we’re in transition.

But that doesn’t mean every streaming service is going to make it. The internet was the future but every startup website didn’t survive. Some will be successful and some will fade away.

Right now, from what I see, DaysInn is launching with little ammunition — UK/Euro boxing with a couple of American fighters who have no cache with anything beyond the hardcore audience, a little B-level MMA, no major USA sports leagues, no advertising or buzz to get the word out and make the brand a household name and no big event at the start to make people say “Wow, I need to jump on board right away.”

That’s the big thing missing, something to put it on the map, a game-changing signing and big main event for the first show that looks PPV level. Could that come later? Sure. But to generate an early subscriber base so people tell their friends, “You HAVE to have this,” I think the slow build is not the way to go. Adamek-Miller doesn’t quite accomplish that.

 

Why in the world are you so fixated on this one fight? You do understand the rest of the card is not only pretty competitive but should be entertaining don't you? Vargas vs Dulorme, Beterbiev vs Johnson & (the main event imo Daniel Roman vs Gavin McDonnell. That's 3 really good fights besides the one mismatch, are you trying to say Arum, King, Haymon, Showtime, ESPN or HBO have never never made or aired a mismatch or showcase fight? Have you seen some of the mismatches ESPN+ has picked up so far? To me, Joshua vs Povetkin, Roman vs McDonnell, Beterbiev vs Johnson & Vargas vs Delorme is worth my $9.99 for this month, even if that includes a squash match. It just seems like you're being a touch hypocritical, Showtime a service which costs just as much a DAZN just aired Wilder vs Stiverne II as a main event not even a year ago. Stiverne was shot to pieces, hell he almost needed help and a oxygen mask to to walk the isle and climb in the ring. My point is, these type of matches are a thing in the sport, for better or worse, whether they suck or not, and everybody HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Arum, Haymon etc does them. So you keep using this 1 fight as a reasonable (in your view) deterrent doesn't holdup. That is unless you are this vocal about people canceling their subscriptions to HBO or Showtime, or boycotting Arum, Haymon etc cards and platforms they show them on when they make the same kind of fights.

 

The difference between Warren and Hearn, besides the huge difference in stables, financials, platforms etc.....

Hearn never talks about Warren....Only occasionally his fighters.
Warren tries to take a dig at Hearn in every interview.


Without Hearn, British boxing would've had a terrible last 10 years.
