These wont be excuses but legit concerns 1) Canelo will be allowed to hit Golovkins groin area 2) He will be allowed to cheat throughout the match 3) He was allowed to ingest performance enhancing drugs for the match 4) The judges gave Canelo 11 rounds despite losing all of them 5) He was allowed to load up his gloves 6) Golovkin took a dive for a career high payday 7) Isal is shook
How about you talk about the legit reasons why Canelo does have an advantage? The most obvious been that GGG is now 36 years old with a style that doesn't work well for this stage of fighters careers. This is the main reason I think Canelo wins this time. Any other 'excuse' just won't wash.
Martinez fought with a younger man style and he was firing on all cylinders at 36 years old Power is the last to go and thats one of Golovkin's best attributes.
Who needs excuses if he wins as expect he’s the better man if he doesn’t win and I mean genuinely doesn’t win then he wasn’t good enough on the night. None of it is important enough to me to worry about it.
Funny how most think GGG needs a knockout to win,myself I think the same re Canelo in that the only way to beat Golovkin is to knock him out as the guy doesn’t know how to lose. Only way Drugnelo wins is if GGG got old over night, which is likely the case at age 36. Just like if GGG was 28 and Drugnelo was 36, Drugnelo would be severely disadvantaged due to age.
Canelo is going to be very fast and stick and move. He's going to try and flurry faster and he's going to try and fix that gas tank. He's going to try and be the younger man. GGG is ancient in boxing terms, even though I think he's aged relatively well, considering. It's possible that he might even legitimately outpoint Golovkin. If that happens - legitimately - I will tip my hat. On the other hand, if he stinks out the joint and still gets a crooked decision from the judges, nobody will be impressed. It'll be the 4th or 5th time a decision has been tipped his way.
Anything is possible, but that doesn’t mean anything. There is a greater chance of me coming out of the closet than there is of Canelo beating Golovkin fairly or knocking him out.
