Compared to the Current crop at 154, Hurd has the best chance of beating a prime Tommy Hearns

I seriously think that a Hearns vs Hurd fight at 154 would be a war similar to Hagler vs Hearns (maybe even better). Hearns was a much better boxer than Hurd but at 154 Hearns had never faced an opponent that was bigger, stronger, and much more physical than him. Hurd has arguably one the best chins in 154 history and his stamina is exceptional. With a gun to my head, I would probably favor Hearns but seeing how Hearns handled pressure, especially when put in deep waters, I wouldn't be surprised if Hurd would've broke him down and stopped him in the Mid-Rounds.

So, you're telling me this fight wouldn't have been competitive due to clash of styles?

Aren’t you the guy that said Breazeale would knock out Joshua?

hurd is way too slow for a crippling puncher like tommy, he wouldnt last 3 rds. right now there is nobody near as complete a fighter as tommy was at 154, thats why hurd is so successful with the tools he has. hurd-mungia would be much more competetive than hurd-hearns, and mungia is a toddler.

I agree that Hearns was the much better boxer, but I disagree that he would finish Hurd in three rounds. Hearns was beatable.

Hearns at 154 would still have huge power. His speed would be on point. Throw in Hurd's lack of defense and you get a one side ass whoopin for the ages.

Hearns by KO. Hurd is just too damn hittable, and lets not act like we haven't seen him hurt by a fringe contender.

Hurd would lose decisively to the following at LMW.

    Ray Leonard
    Thomas Hearns
    Roberto Duran
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Mike McCallum
    Wilfred Benitez
    Felix Trinidad
    Julian Jackson
    Terry Norris
    John Mugabi
    Winky Wright
    Fernando Vargas
    Antonio Margarito
    Paul Williams
    Canelo Alvarez
    Sergio Martinez

I think you see a lot more in Hurd than I do.

Hagler was so much more skilled than Hurd it's not even funny and Hurd hasn't proven that his chin is nearly as good as Haglers, Hearns wouldn't have a problem with him at all, there wouldn't be a war, it would be a one sided beatdown.

Hearns is one of the most skilled boxers in history, but I do think you guys overrate him a lot. He is not unbeatable.
