Yeah hearn said on IFL that the money Pacquiao and amir want for the fight makes it very difficult to make in the UK.

Plus after tonight I dunno about the numbers on PPV. Khan has no momentum behind him.

Eddie is not silly and won't over spend to get Pacquiao over here unless it generates big returns

I think he'd call it a day. Aside from tick overs and warm ups it's Khan or retirement. He won't be taking on Spence or anyone else of that calibre again.

Exactly. I think Amir thinks everyone who watched I'm a celebrity is itching to fork out to watch him fight a Filipino they've vaguely heard of. This is one more delusion in an already deluded mind.

Behind closed doors Eddie will now be telling some home truths. Fight Brook at the weight of your choosing and have top billing and we all make a fortune.

the bookies set the line and the bets adjust it. what those odds are saying is that for every $100 bet on vargas there was $3300 bet on the egg. if i was a sports bettor, i would follow brit boxers more because their fans always offer up tremendous value, they are willing to bet on what their media tells them.

I don’t care about lines in this situation. A 33.5-1 favorite losing is an embarrassment.

33.5-1 is beyond lopsided. It’s not like he was 5 or 10 to 1.

but the final odds are not a reflection of what the bookies think, its a reflection of what the bettors think. the only reason it got so lopsided is because there was a lot of brit money being bet on eggington, and odds have to keep getting adjusted so the bookies have enough money to pay the brits if eggington does indeed win. who else would bet $33 to win 1? its dumb to bet on eggington with those odds when lower level fights are often a crapshoot because neither guy is good enough to be a sure thing.
its the people betting $33 to win $1 on this kind of fight that should be embarrassed.

I agree. Bad bet, but to lose that fight against a guy who’s ranked 143?

Vargas is a total bum ( he gave his best though I'll give him that) but he has no talent - and he still managed to drop Khan and make him run away from him and took him the distance.

Khan is finished, he's a joke. Even his speed wasn't much tonight. There's probably about 50 Welterweights that would ice him. Even the continuation of the major cherry picking won't stop him from getting KTFO very soon.
