Kownaki is a disaster waiting to happen. He throws the right hand no matter where his opponent is. How many times does he fall short with it? The boys at the next level will take a half step back and drop a left hook over the top of that right. Land it on the temple and that fella is on noodle legs.
I'd agree there although Kownacki showed himself up as a B tier contender. He is nowhere near good enough.
True although his work rate and defence got sloppy in the second half of the fight, I'm just thinking at the next level it could be a factor.
Yeah i feel you, if he can throw this much punches in that shape, surely he can do better if he improved his shape, its solid reasoning. The only problem is he puts on muscle it might compromise his stamina and if he loses too much he may find his energy levels drop. He needs to at least come in at a consistent weight not 240 then 260 the next fight.
Miller said they're friends since childhood. Just wonder if they have the same KFC/Subway/McDonalds diet programm (as well as Andy Ruiz), as both look obese and out of shape.
You gotta admit for fat boys these guys fight like much lighter guys. Then you got guys who are in aesthetic shape like AJ and Ugonoh who are gassed after 6 rounds.
Maybe they share a conditioning coach. Miller amazes me with the volume he can throw without gassing.
To be fair to Adam his shots look more solid than Miller, millers ones look more pitter patter imo. Nevertheless after 100 of them, the patters start to turn into thuds.
It doesn't effect his stamina clearly as his work rate is relentless for a heavyweight. But it does effect is ability to get his shots off. He was faster off the mark vs Szplika, able to react and respond quicker to get his shots off, at the higher weight he's too much of a plodder, against an agile opponent he could look completely lost as he's unable to cut off the ring.
Yeah but I think he is a plodder whether you put on the cleanest diet or not. His style is always gunna be that I’ll take two of yours to land four of mine type of style.
Yeah it's surprising how they can both set such a pace despite looking like a flight of stairs would have them sucking air lol. Maybe it's because they are so relaxed in the ring, neither looks very tense in there.
Yeah his punch technique is far superior to Miller's I particularly like how straight and compact his right hand is, it's a nice shot.
