Prime Pavlik vs GGG?

Great action fight I think Golovkin's better skills would make the difference Golovkin UD or late TKO

 

Prime GGG? Or present day GGG?

 

I don't think he would catch up with prime Pavlik to stop him, I got ud/md GGG..This would age both fighters

 

Golovkin outpoints him and never gets caught flush. Golovkin becomes a master boxer if he knows his opponents can hurt him.

 

Gennadys fangirls were complaining about the size of Danny Jacobs who is a tiny MW compared to Pavlik.

Not only is Pavlik much bigger than Jacob , he controls distance better , has a better chin and hits way harder.

If Golovkin wouldn't walk through Canelo's slaps , then there's not a prayer he's walking through Kellys nuclear bombs.

Golovkin wins. I very much doubt that his strategy would be to slug away at Pavlik. You'd be looking as him in boxing mode, and I think GGG is a better boxer than Pavlik.

 

Pavlik by late stoppage or UD on points. He holds every physical advantage one could have and GGG isnt that far above him in skill to offset it. At a certain point a fighters frame enters the equation where they are just so much bigger and stronger than their opponents and their punches have so much more effect whereas their opponents shots have much lesser effect. I think thats the case here.

 

Pavlik didnt have great head/ upper body movement but he was actually GREAT at parrying punches, one of the best in the business that ive seen in the last 15-20 years. He was a lot harder to hit than he gets credit for.

 

He does yeah, pumps that jab lovely, prime Pavlik isn't a walk in the park for anyone though..He can box long too. Imo a see saw fight, they cant avoid each other just boxing or GGG boxing for 12, there's going to be exchanges and I think it would be brutal. GGG would imo catch Pavlik late with something that changes the course of the fight, and he keeps him there. Pavlik I thought when 100% was a ****ing monster though, a hard fight for GGG !

 

There's no middle ever that's much bigger than Jacob's, he's huge at 160 himself

 

I can't pick GGG over Pavlik. His division was a wasteland so I don't know how good he is. No real boxers to test him like Martinez or crafty vets like Hopkins. Before GGG fought Jacobs, many weren't too high on Jacobs and yet he gave G all he could handle. Is Jacobs a tougher fighter than Pavlik, I doubt it.

 

Jacobs is an average sized MW whose made the weight comfortably his whole career.

Yeah course he is. So if he's an average sized middle would you class GGG as a small middle then ?? You would have too with out a doubt
