Wladimir would have hit Bowe twice as hard as Golota did. Lol

Haye, Byrd, Pulev etc he even passed on the torch & wasn't afraid to engage the next generation (Jennings, AJ, Fury) too..

He deserves respect. Not the most pleasing style for some but great footwork, a beautiful jab, booming straight right hand.. A great athlete who had a commanding reign. I'll always be a fan.. Great human being all round in fact.

I heard somewhere that Bowe became a coke head at one point. I don't remember where, and have no idea if it is true, but I understand that is where a lot of the money went.

I am always 50-50 with Bowe. He was a great talent, but protected and fed bums. He could fight, but was not as good as he thought he was. He had one great win, but threw a belt in the trash rather than make what would have been a truly career defining fight. He has a very impressive record on paper, but might have about four more losses were the rules well kept in his fights.

In the final analysis, to me he is a second tier great, side-by-side with Vitali, and just a little ahead of Ken Norton, Floyd Patterson, Joe Walcott, and Tim Witherspoon.

There's an argument for saying that Bowe was little better than a one hit wonder. He showed a single moment of greatness against a fighter he held a significant style advantage over, and a whole load of mediocre performances against everyone else that was vaguely world class. His title reign had no longevity or depth whatsoever, he openly ducked his biggest challenge, and was (not so arguably) battered into a pulp twice by Andrew Golota.

I don't even buy that he was particularly talented. His ring iq was poor, his defence was atrocious, he never utilised his height or reach advantage properly (hence his struggles against Golota) and he regularly turned up to fights grossly out of shape. Prime Wlad would have beaten him at any stage in his career by simply staying out of range and popping him with his jab and right hand while Bowe tried to plod forward like an imbecile.

There's a far better argument for comparing Bowe to Fury, IMO.

Wlad. Bowe was one of my favorite heavyweights to watch but he is overrated.

This is the ONLY Wladimir Klitschko thread I've ever seen where he hasn't posted in it.

Bowe was an excellent fighter for his short peak, but his reign as champion was awful!!!! An old Dokes, journeyman Ferguson, and a close loss to a supposedly faded Holyfield.

Low hanging fruit for Wlad fans to compare either of Bowe's title reigns (or both combined).

So let;s compare overall resume. In terms of quality of opposition, Bowe may have the best single name, but Wlad's body of work in general is better. So Wlad fans can still take heart that he lands above Bowe in this category.

The insecurity being portrayed in the troll thread is oozing through my laptop. It doesn’t matter what screen name Todd creates he will always be an inbread pseudo supremacist cuck.

Bowe has a win (a KO even) over The Real Deal, an ATG. Who did Wlad beat?
